We got this heater for the bathroom because we don't have central heating. Works great for our bathroom even though product states that it's not designed for bathrooms or small areas. The price was reasonable and it was the design that I was looking for. Because I was getting it for the bathroom I wanted if off the floor and sturdy, and it's both. So for our small bathroom it works perfect, I don't know how it translates to bigger areas. Some reviews complain about the smell but the directions for using the product warn that you need to run it for a few hours to burn off the odor so....., yeah. I can still smell it when it's in use but it's nothing noxious. I can smell just about any heater that's on for that matter.Customer Review: great heater, very quiet

This little heater works well! The snap-down wheels made it very easy to install (no assembly required). The thermostatic variable control works well (unlike some others I have tried). Some reviewers reported smelling an oil or paint smell when they first turned it on, however, I did not have that issue at all. Since I only obtained my heater at the end of this years heating season, I haven't yet fully tested the high heat setting, but on the low setting, it kept my 20 x 14 foot room quite comfortable this spring. It makes no noise that I have been able to tell, except a very slight click when the heater turns on at the thermostat setting.Customer Review: Works pretty well, not completely cool to the touch

I got this for our 3-year-old daughter's room as for some reason she does not seem to like the sound of a radiant heater. It does a decent job of boosting the heat level in the room, which she needs because she tends to kick off her blankets during the night. I wouldn't rely on this alone to heat a room unless it was a very small room. The top and back do get hot, although you'd have to keep your skin in contact with it for several seconds to actually get burned; bumping into it should not cause any burns. We got this heater at the beginning of winter (December?) because it's silent and the fan-forced heaters were setting off our baby monitor. We love the heat and the quiet, but it's kind of a pain to set the temperature on this model. Next time we will try one with a more accurate temperature gauge that we can just... set and leave alone. But the heat is really nice and it really does... just what we wanted it to do, so far. It's a good little heater, overall!Customer Review: not what i hoped for

I anm disappointed. The product description states that
the heater had an enclosed heating unit thus maintaining a low surface temp.
This is not so. I bought this heater for this feature as I have a 6 month old. It get's very hot and is dangerous for young children.
