Tools and Hardware Reviews of DeLonghi EW7707CM Oil-filled Radiator with ComforTemp TechnologyCustomer Review: Love this Summary: 5 Stars
I live in a large apartment with central air. My heating costs were so high last year, that I turned it down to just low enuf to keep the pipes warm and purchased this unit for my bedroom. First, I like that it's on wheels so I can move it if I wish to. I like the different temperature settings. Even on a low setting, this baby cranks it out. I feel safer with this type of unit than with the kind where you can see the red heating elements in the front. It's also sturdy enough that my cat and two small dogs can't knock it over, but it's lightweight enough that I can move it easily. My only complaint? Wish I could find a way to get a second one into my bathroom...boy it gets cold in there! Oh, and it's completely quiet too.
Customer Review: nice, quiet, consistent heat Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this heater to replace a small ceramic heater. My ceramic heater did a nice job heating the bedroom, but created a lot of noise clicking on and off throughout the night. To get the most enjoyable use out of my new DeLonghi heater, I must turn it on about an hour before I'm ready for bed. I also keep it on the "ComfortTemp" setting to prevent the on/off clicking noise. It did take about 1 week for me to figure out the temperature controls (there's min, med, and max, plus a thermostat setting of 1-6). I can't just say "70 degrees" like on the thermostat that controls my furnace! Overall I am very pleased with this product, I appreciate the heat that it puts out and I hope it lasts me a long time.
Customer Review: Great job keeping us warm and toasty Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of these heaters to even out the heat in two bedrooms that seem to stay colder than the rest of the house. We spend most of our time in our bedroom and there's no sense keeping the rest of the house at 70*F, just to stay in one room, so when we know we'll be in our bedroom for the day, we'll drop the house thermostat to 65*f and crank up the oil filled heater and in about an hour, the room will be very cozy and comfortable. We don't sleep with ours on, but our daughter's room over the garage (and poorly insulated) does keep hers on and it keeps her room very comfortable.
I would highly recommend these- I purchased them in November and this is mid-March and I havent had one complaint.
Customer Review: Works Great! Summary: 5 Stars
I originally bought this while in Afghanistan to keep me warm during the -1 degree Farenheit nights. It worked wonderfully there and I was doubly pleased when I started using it at home during the winters. We live in an old brick home in DC and the downstairs is absolutely horrible at keeping heat in. My gas bills would usually run me $400 for at least two months during the winter. I broke this out when the temperature started cooling down and it had the whole first floor of my home warmed up by 2 degrees within minutes.
The only downsides are that the surface does get pretty hot and it emits a terrible smell for the first week after you initially take it out of the box and turn it on.
Customer Review: Very nice money saving heater Summary: 5 Stars
I got one , and then ordered another because it worked so well in my bedroom .
I running both now day and night and turning down the gas heat to 60 deg. when we are sleeping or gone to work . I just got my first elect bill and it went up from $52 to $114 dollars . Plus I burnt 50 gals of propane also . Must say these work nice . The big push button on the front sets the heater to 68degs , just where I like it when watching tv etc . I run them about 3.5 on the dial at night . I do shut the bedroom doors now and it's very nice and when we come out in the living room etc , it's only 60 deg's so it's really been saving us money .
In other words , this heater is a no brainer IMO .
