We were looking for an alternative to central heating for a small living room(150-200sq feet?). We had tried ceramic heaters, but they are noisy and very inefficient at heating a whole room, they also tend to get dirty over time. From day one we were happy with our choice. It is silent and heats the room to a comfortable temp. in about 15-20min (OK, we live in San Francisco, so it is never that cold). I always use the "comfortable temperature" button instead of the regular thermostat and once the room is heated, you can reduce the power to the min setting without negative noticing any difference in temp. In short no fumes, no maintenance, not too big, silent and does the job, what else do you want?Customer Review: Space heater

I just recently purchased this product for my daughter's room. Our insulation in the walls is not very good and their is a draft in her room. This space heater has been wonderful. The first 8-10 hours, I let it run with all windows open because it has a funny smell and some smoke in the beginning. The manufacturer tells you to expect this...so nothing to worry. I have LOVED IT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT. Also, it is easy to wheel from room to room if necessary and is very compact and you can control the heat temperature via a dial.

We had been looking for a heater to warm our den without having to use the central heat. My husband didn't believe this small heater was up to the job but I ordered it in spite of his objections. It has turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. It is basically silent and if used correctly, keeps my room with 12' ceilings nice and cozy. The unit itself doesn't get overly hot, so I'm not worried about one of the dogs or children brushing against it and getting a burn. It is very easy to roll around on tile floors and has a generous length of cord. This one works so well that I'm considering getting another for the back part of the house.Customer Review: Best purchase ever!

I have tried to talk my husband into purchasing a space heater for quite a while now, especially for the master bedroom so that we don't have to heat the whole house just for a quick shower. So I went on line to check on some reviews regarding space heaters. Well, this DeLonghi oil-filled heater seemed to have all the raves! The recommendations that readers/buyers have made were right on. No NOISE from a fan! Even heat, easy to roll on the wheels. Actually, no negatives. We ended up buying two and talked our two friends and one neighbor and father into buying one also. They are all pleased. Best purchase we have made in a long time to be this satisfied.Customer Review: Nice and warm!

The first time I started it up it wasn't so hot.. but after the next time.. it got really really hot!
Shipping seems to knock out the plastic piece in the comfort temp button, but that can just be pushed in (I got 2). It's unclear how the comfort temp button works. You MUST put BOTH buttons on, AND push in the comfort temp button. This will AUTOMATICALLY try to keep it around 68-71F but in my room it was more like 78F... way too hot for me. I'm happy leaving it on a really low setting for the most part and it's good enough!
Still, puts out great power, and so far I haven't even noticed a difference in the electrical bill.
