Customer Review: Excellent Radiant Heater!

This compact unit takes up little space and heats up a fairly large room in a matter of hours. The temperature outside this morning was 29 degrees, but the room with this heater in it, was 69. As long as you keep the doors closed so that the heater works in a finite space, you'll see excellent results.
There was an acrid smell most of the first evening that it was used, I suppose from the oil inside being heated for the first time.
ADDENDUM November 18, 2008: This unit stopped dead yesterday. We live in a coastal area and don't have alot of cold days in the fall and spring months so it's not like this heater was really abused with overuse. Still, after less than 2 years - kaput with no other option than to add it to a landfill. Will not buy another one.

This heater has a nice profile to fit under the desk. I noticed something in other reviews that say that the heater suddenly stopped working. Notice that this heater is one of the rare few that come with a GFI protector at the plug. It protects you from electric shocks by detecting tiny stray currents, and on rare occasion these can trip when there is no hazard, like when power goes out in the house. When something causes the GFI to trip, you have to push the reset button. Many people don't read the instructions and are not aware that you have to push the reset button. So they come here and write a review that the whole heater stopped working, when they just need to push a little button. This is as good as space heater gets. It's noiseless, very safe, and doesn't run up your electric bill. It's unobtrusive, very efficient considering its size which is actually smaller than you would think. It's perfect for a cold or chilly room in a big house when you don't want to heat the whole house if you're just in one room. I find it works best when I can predict when I will be in the room, in my case, my bedroom before going to sleep. I set the timer for 2 hours before I will be in the room so it has a chance to heat up nicely. It heats a rather large room quite well and the heat feels "natural" not "spacey" like a space heater. I have the timer to turn it off about the time I go to bed. Highly recommend this excellent product.Customer Review: Great little heater

I bought this heater to heat the underside of my bed, My bed has a captain stand with a sheet of plywood over then the foam mattress on top. There was moisture building up between the mattress and the plywood because of the cold from the wall and floor and no air circulation because of the Captain stand being completely enclosed. I know it is not recommended to use in very confined space, but that is what I needed it for and that is the safest heater to use for something like that. It is small and very safe and I do not have to crawl under the bed to turn in on and off. It works fantastically and I am enormously pleased with it. I have it on extremely low and it heats just enough to keep things dry.Customer Review: DeLonghi

This is an awesome little heater. I bought it for my wife who pooh poohed it as being too small and since she rules the domain I figured it would be a quick exit... nope.. she loves it. Works reat... I have owned the larger oil filled ones when we had little kids in the past. Since the quality was a known factor it was a simple decision to stay with the brand. Excellant... no hot spots.. does what we wanted and for the price on Amazon... what can you say? Look at the Mfg website and compare.... Thanks Amazon and Delonghi. I am not a troll or being paid to write this... I live in YL, it is very moderate... mornings can be a bit cold in a back master bath where it resides in winter now....
