Tools and Hardware Reviews of DeLonghi TRN0812T Portable Oil-Filled Radiator with Programmable TimerCustomer Review: warmth with safety Summary: 5 Stars
Our master bathroom features a large open area with master closet and no door to actually enclose. I have looked for a long time for a portable heater for use after my shower.
The heater/fan actually made you feel colder when drying after your shower.
Other heaters without a fan had the warning "Not to be used in the bathroom".
This unit features the GFCI and is safe for bathroom use. It heats fairly
fast, is portable, easy to handle and most importantly is SAFE to use in the
bathroom. No cold air blowing and no dangerous red hot open coils.
Warmth with safety (GFCI), the best.
Customer Review: Quite pleased Summary: 5 Stars
We got one of these at the hardware store. Liked it enough to get another at Amazon (at about half the price).
Great for a small room. One keeps our 11' by 14' TV room cosy. Doesn't dry out the air like the fan heaters, and totally quiet.
My wife loves the timer on the one in the bathroom. Nice in the morning, pretty easy to set up.
Two minor gripes. The cord comes out at the control end (you never see it in the picture). Also, it gives off a bit of a smell for awhile while it's new. They do mention this in the instructions and it did go away, but it might worry you if you're not aware.
Customer Review: Great Heater Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my bedroom which is roughly 20' x 12'. Previously I had a ceramic style heater which I could not run at night due to the fan noise. I asked a friend of mine who owned a similar heater and he suggested that I ensure whatever heater I purchased had a timer, which this one does.
I was worried that this heater might not have enough output to heat my bedroom, but I am pleased to say that this heater can heat up pretty much my whole upstairs (Note I am in NC, so it doesn't get that cold).
I can't think of any downsides and I am very happy with the purchase.
Customer Review: Fits the Bill for Plenty of Heat in a Small Space Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the product based on my read of prior reviews. I am very satisfied with its performance to date. I use it under our home computer desk on the left side; our harddrive's on the right. Plenty of clearance from the top of unit to underside of desk and plenty of room for heat to dissapate and not affect the harddrive. Controls are in front near top and are easy to use and adjust. It takes the chill out of the air before I sit down at the computer. The desk sits in the corner of a north facing room. Off most of the time; but nice to have handy if I feel a chill. Glad I made the purchase.
Customer Review: Small unit, big heat Summary: 5 Stars
It gets cold in Los Angeles. Not like New England winter cold, but when the temps dip into the low 40s and your apartment has very drafty windows, you might as well be sleeping outside. I needed a small heating unit which would run on minimum wattage and take the chill out of the bedroom. I was concerned that it wouldn't be enough considering my apartment has tall, cathedral ceilings, but this heater did the trick. I haven't had to use the unit on full blast, but on minimum set to 3-4 (and placed underneath my drafty windows), I can now tolerate being in my bedroom and sleep in comfort.
