Tools and Hardware Reviews of DeLonghi TRN0812T Portable Oil-Filled Radiator with Programmable TimerCustomer Review: Excellent Bargain +++A+++ Summary: 5 Stars
Delonghi is a very reliable brand. The last one I had (simular to this one) lasted 5+ years. I bought 2 more this winter to 'replace' my gas furnace. Gas-heat is just too expensive, so I plug these in and blew out the pilot-light :) These put out some Heat ! They are slow to warm-up, a few hours to get it going at max-heat. They are quiet and you'll forget it's even there. I'd say one per room during the coldest months. I'm in Ohio and it gets pretty darn cold here. These will keep you toasty and sleep like a baby at night
Customer Review: Great heater Summary: 5 Stars
This is great to use on cold nights in the bedroom.
Even when it gets really cold at night and you'd be a fool to not have the heater on, you can turn this unit to max in the bedroom for 2 hours before hitting the hay and your room will be nice and toasty.
Then just turn the heat down to medium or low depending on how cold it is and you'll go to sleep and wake up warm.
I'm seriously considering canceling my gas line next year if this does the trick on the coldest nights this year.
So far, so good.
Customer Review: A good one, but get if outside of Am..on Summary: 5 Stars
Very good heater, I got two of those, the only drawback is that one of them is noisy - makes the click click sound when stops heating. Otherwise - perfect. It helped to reduce drastically the exorbitant gas bills I was getting this winter.
No leaks, no smells. It works in enclosed spaces, don't expect miracles in open spaces.
Get with confidence, the real price should be around $50, but beware that A.....n manipulates with the price - they raised it from $50-ties to $80ties last winter.
Customer Review: good product Summary: 5 Stars
Bought two of these last year and really like them. They are only 15" high (21" long) flat saucer feet for good stabliity, and no sharp metal edges for the kids to hit their heads on.
The Timing and temperature dials are easy to use. We used them last year when natural gas was so expensive. They did such a good job keeping the kids rooms at a consistant temperature at night that we plan to use them this year too. It worked out much better than using the house thermostat at night.
Customer Review: So far, great heaters! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought two of these units last year (2007) and used them 24/7 in our bathroom and bedroom to supplement our pellet stove. They worked great and we've already been using them this fall. We bought two of the TRN0812T's last month and so far they've worked flawlessly. We actually bought two more to give as presents a couple of weeks later. They are actually smaller than the units we bought last year. The older units had 10 fins, the new ones have 8 fins. The heat output seems the same.
