Tools and Hardware Reviews of Denali Miter Saw StandCustomer Review: BBBBang for the buck Summary: 5 StarsAfter using a Harbor Freight stand for the past few years - which was nearly as expensive after shipping (and the $25 amazon coupon that I used) - I am happy to have bought this. I thought the lack of wheels was going to sink it, but as I can remove the saw from the stand: Not a problem. The old one had to have wheels, as the saw was attached at all times.
The finish, quality and sizing of everything, is excellent. It looks like Danali may have read reviews, as the square end pieces are a tight fit now.
Customer Review: Excellent Value Summary: 4 Stars I bought this same stand with a different label, the Ryobi version sold at Home Despot. I was actually going to buy the DeWalt miter saw stand because my co-worker has one and except for a few small complaints I like the DeWalt stand. When I saw the price on this stand and checked out the display It seemed like this stand had everything I needed and at half the price of the DeWalt. I also appreciated that this stand is shorter in length than the DeWalt so it fits in my Toyota Tacoma much easier. The clamps are easier to use than the Dewalt ones and like the DeWalt clamps you can still use your saw on a flat surface without the stand. I've used this stand for over a year with a very heavy Delta 12" dual bevel. compound miter saw and have had no complaints. Not sure if it could handle a 12" slider but I know it accepts 10" sliders. If you are looking for a good relatively compact miter saw stand and you don't want to spend the money on a Saw Helper Ultra Fence I say get this one you wont regret it.I'd give this stand 5 stars but like someone else said the extension arms sag a bit at full extension. Not a big deal for me but if you ever used a Saw Helper you'd know what a 5 star miter stand is all about. In fact I would'nt bother with the DeWalt or any other $200 stand because this one is just about as good for half the money. If you want a really good precise miter saw stand get a saw helper. sawhelper.com
Customer Review: Good and Bad Summary: 4 StarsGood:
It works, is solid and came quickly.
Bad:
Its made in China and it is impossible to buy parts for it!
Customer Review: Good tool-good value-very useful Summary: 5 StarsI am very happy with this saw stand...I got it after Christmas for $79.99 plus free shipping. For the price it can not be beat. It is rock solid and holds my Makita 10" sliding miter saw perfectly (with a plywood adapter because of the saws depth). The stand is easy to move, easy to use and easy to assemble. One problem is the "stops" (to make repetitive cuts) are sloppy, not sure if they will even work properly because of this problem. The stand was also scuffed up a little bit in the box during shipping...not a problem for me, it works the same. The knobs are a little cheap in your hand...but they seem adequate.
I did notice that the Ryobi saw stand is nearly identical, just different colors. The Ryobi "stop" is a better, sturdier design and the rollers do not roll on it. Also the Ryobi has a stick on ruler on the frame...not sure how useful that would be anyway. The Ryobi sells for $99 at the BORG...you do the math.
Customer Review: High quality Low price Summary: 5 StarsIt's very easy to assemble and very sturdy. When it expands, it's 9' long.
I have no problem in cutting the end of 12' long board.
I mounted Bosch 10" slider, it's rock solid.
All material is really sturdy, I don't feel any vibration while cutting boards.
One drawback is it's heavy even without the slider. When moving this stand, I detach the slider, which is a real easy job, and move individually.
It's a real nice stand for the money and I recommend to anyone.
