I used this little heater to warm a 10' X 12' room in New England last winter and it worked great. This was the only heat source in the room and even my infant and toddler grandchildren were comfortable. The "flames" look very realistic and add a warm glow to the room. This a fan-forced heater is much more efficient than the oil-filled heaters I used previously (more heat output for the same cost in electricity). It has three settings: high heat, low heat, and flame only. I have enjoyed my safe, durable, inexpensive and decorative Dimplex stove for over a year and highly recommend it.Customer Review: Great Electric Stove - but Short

Bought this electric stove to warm our newly-build screen porch over the fall and winter months. The stove is a bit on the short side; but after reading some other reviews about raising it, I decided to build a makeshift hearth from the left over floor tiles. Still have work to do on the hearth, but the stove's overall effect was so greatly improved that we decided not to purchase a larger one. Even without the plexiglass windows installed, this little heater warmed the room a bit. I especially love the nightlight feature and that it lends a comfortable, home-like touch to the porch.Customer Review: great little heater and and very attractive

I bought this heater to warm up my home office which is located in the basement and I have been very pleased with it. I wanted something more attractive than the typical space heater that would still do the job. I am very pleased with this product. On low setting it warms the room nicely. It is obviously not a real fireplace, of course. I like that the glow from the fire allows me to tell by looking if it is on which helps me remember to turn it off at the end of the work day. It makes a very low quiet humming sound when on.

The Dimplex CS1205 is small and has no thermostat built in, but it is very comfortable to sit next to (instantly warms your feet), and works great as supplemental heat on cold mornings or to heat a small room as the sole source in our Pacific NW winter (very little snow). It's appealing to watch the flame, and the stove is not hot to the touch. I now have two of them, one in the studio and one in the kitchen. I have no idea of its durability yet, just bought mine last winter when I grew tired of stoking the wood stove.Customer Review: Dimplex CS1205 Compact Electric Stove

I love this little heater. I use it in my bonus room that is over the garage and not as warm as rest of the house. I also have the ambience of a fireplace while I am doing my scrapbooking. Great price. I ordered it on a Thurs. at 3-3:30 and it was at my door Sat. morning at 10:00. Also it doesn't get hot so when my grandkids are over, don't have to worry about them getting burned. I wouldn't mind having some more of them for every room just for the ambience of a fireplace in every room.
