I bought this canister vacuum for use on my wood floors. It's perfect for them! The filter needs to be emptied more often than some other models, but it's still worth it. There are no bags to purchase. This vacuum isn't my favorite for rugs or carpeting, but it does fine for the smaller jobs. I recommend this machine for anyone needing better suction on their hardwood or laminate flooring.Customer Review: The best!!!

I purchased this vacuum when we moved to a new house..I had a central vac in my old house, and thought I would really miss it..however, I bought this Dirt Devil 082700..I couldn't be happier! It is so easy to use, great suction, and lightweight. Pulls easily with the large wheels, and stores in a very small space..automatic cord rewind...just couldn't ask for more!

I made a lot of research before purchasing my vacuum cleaner and I am very very happy. We live in Manhattan so I wanted something small, powerful, HEPA, and this Dirt Devil vacuum meets all the criteria. The telescopic wand save room in the closet and I love the control buttons on the handle (and not on the canister). It is not too loud, neither heavy. I truly love this vacum cleaner! It is the best one i've ever bought. I just hope it lasts for a long time. Others, (different makes and models), I have bought have only worked for a year or two. It cleans my hardwood floors very well, including next to the baseboards and in corners.
