Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dirt Devil BV2030RED Cordless Bagless Broom Vacuum Cleaner, RedCustomer Review: Best I've seen for hardwood floors and tile Summary: 5 Stars
I don't like regular brooms and dustpans because I don't like bending over or cleaning dust bunnies off the broom bristles. The stick vacs I've used often push crumblies around the floor instead of vacuuming them up. This combines the best features of a vacuum and a broom.
I find sometimes I have to sweep large amounts of debris (such as about a cup or two's worth of spilled cat litter) into a little pile then place the broom vac directly on top of the pile to suck it up, but that beats bending over with a dustpan any day. It's easy to empty, easy to turn on and off, and holds a charge very well. My only issues with it are that it's pretty loud (aren't all vacuums) and there is no charging stand; I have to lean it against the wall, but it's thin and lightweight so it doesn't take up much space in my closet, which conveniently has an electrical outlet. It's no trouble taking it up and down stairs either since it doesn't weigh much for its size.
Overall I highly recommend it, it's a great product for the price.
Customer Review: A necessity for anyone with kids!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought this Dirt Devil Broom Vac (pink) yesterday, it had a charge when I opened it so I tested it on my kitchen floor and it seemed like just what I wanted. As it was charging for the recommended 24 hr charge, I thought I would check out the reviews on it. After reading them I was kinda disappointed to see all the negatives. Well, let me tell u, I am soooo happy I didn't listen to the negatives........I have a 12 month old and a 4 year old so we have crumbs everyday, everywhere in the kitchen so I figured this would be great to use after every meal or snack. I have used it like 4 times today already and I love it so much! It is so easy to use. Yes, it does give your arms a bit of a work out at first, but who doesn't need that? It sucks up everything perfectly. I think some people think it's suppose to replace their regular vacuum but it's just to replace your broom and dust pan and mine are going out the window! This is a must have for people with kids and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Customer Review: Right tool for the job! Summary: 5 Stars
I have 2 small children, a puppy and cherry-stained hardwood floors that show EVERY crumb and dust bunny. I was tired of getting out the broom after every snack, meal & spill. I am soooo happy with this product. I mounted a hook by an outlet in our kitchen/breakfast area & keep it charged. It does a great job on smaller, quick clean-ups. Empty the vac often & tap out the filter when you do (only takes a second) & you will prevent the filter clogging. Some reviewers complained of the required position of the vac to suck up debris...I personally did not find this to be a problem. It is not meant to glide like a vacuum.
Bottom line- get the right tool for the job.
If you are expecting a product that is easy to use for quick clean-ups you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a full-powered vacuum that will effectivly vacuum a large space, then buy a vacuum - not this.
Customer Review: Great little vacuum! Summary: 5 Stars
Well, I don't know about dirt, rocks or some of these other items people are trying to pick up with this $50 broom, but we have a virtual carpet of pet hair at home thanks to our dog, and after using this broom we can finally see our floors again. We'd tried mops and those swiffer products to no avail, but this baby picks everything up in a heartbeat with little effort, and cleanup is a snap (the reviewer that said it was cumbersome - what are you doing? press the button, bottom comes off, empty and snap back on. done.)
Now, will it work as well as a serious vacuum? Of course not. "Everything" does not mean every single thing. It's a $50 broom-vac combo, come on - not a $500 Dyson model. It sounds like some people expect all vacuums to work alike.
For basic dust, papers, and certainly lots and lots of pet hair, this puppy more than gets my vote.
Customer Review: LOVE IT! Summary: 5 Stars
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
I just got my broom vac in the mail and am already smitten. I have two small dogs and a tile floor. Between their fur and every day dirt tracked in, this is the best thing that I have found to date. Believe me, I have tried a lot! This works great! Before I bought this, a co-worker tried to talk me out of it; she had purchased it a few months ago and returned it.
Truth be told: this is ideal for my home, and what it is intended for. If you are expecting it to pick up rocks and books, you are going to be unhappy with the product. If you use a broom regularly and hate when you are trying to sweep up that reoccurring "dust pan line," this is perfect for you. It eliminates the dust pan, and gets every last bit!
Highly Recommend!
