Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dirt Devil BV2030SLV Rechargeable Broom Vacuum, SilverCustomer Review: Very Nice sweeper Summary: 4 Stars
I really like this sweeper it works great for cleaning up dog and cat hair the only thing I do not like about it is that the hair just all goes into the chamber and sits there up against the filter instead of falling down into the part that should hold the dirt so you have to empty it every time you sweep or else it looses suction but it is still a nice little sweeper.

IT WORKS FOR WHAT I GOT IT FOR. I HAVE A BAD BACK AND CAN NOT GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR.
Customer Review: Good Idea, Mediocre Execution... Summary: 3 Stars
Having owned 2 dustbusters and a canister vacuum, this looked like the ideal solution for quick cleaning w/out having to constantly bend over or deal with cords.
Will first off, the convenience of this thing is diminished by the fact that there is no charging bracket where the broom can simply slip into place and recharge. Instead you have to manually plug in the adaptor and connect it to the base of the broom. Real hassle if you have pets and use it a lot. Dirt Devil makes other portable vacs with a base charger but they dropped the ball on this one..
Secondly, there is a rubber seal btween the broom base and the detachable cup/brush but the seal leaves a 1/16" gap which totally defeats the purpose. It seems to be there more for cosmetic reasons than anything else.
Overall th suction and battery time seem pretty good but the design and mfg leaves little to be desired.
Somehow i can't help to think that if a company like LG, Sharp or Panasonic made something like this, the quality would be much better.
Customer Review: Dirt Devil Broom Vac Summary: 3 Stars
1. The Dirt Devil Broom Vac does not sweep like a broom -- the brissle are to hard to sweep.
2. The suction window or filter on the Broom Vac is to small -- I think it would pick up better if the window or filter was larger.
3. The Broom doesn't get close enough under the cabnits to sweep or to suck up the dirt.
4. You give instructions about the dirt cup but not the filter -- can you wash it? How soon do you need to replace it?
1. The Broom saves you back -- take out the Broom Vac instead of a large vacuum cleaner.
Customer Review: It's really 3.5 starts... Summary: 3 Stars
Okay, after reading everyone's reviews I went out and bought the broom vac. I'm taking it back today. I bought it to sweep up hair left in the bathroom every morning. It works but it's very heavy and it feels a little odd. Also, the handle kept unscrewing and that became annoying. I wouldn't say don't buy it but at 50 bucks, I just don't think it's worth it. I'll just stick to my wooden broom and my wonderful Dirt Devil Scorpion.
