I love this product and use it everyday. I have 4 little boys so I have to vac and mop every few hours. The vacuum works great on tiles and wooden floor but this vac was not meant to be used on carpet. I have a big kitchen and I used to use Swiffer Vac, the regular Swiffer Pad and Swiffer Mop but now all I need is Vac n' Mop. I had read the reviews and there seem to be leakage problem but mine did not leak at all. The secret is that I keep it only half full. I use the Swiffer refills for the bottom to pick up any missed crumbs when vacuming and also use a old white baby shirt for mopping (works better than any refill pad).
I would not recommend this as a once a week vac or mopping tool. I would recommend the vac 'n mop if you have to vac and mop constantly and want a fast relief.
June 20, 2007: After using this for less than a year, the handle split open and it broke finally. It was handy but not worth it if you have to replace it every year. I would change the rating to 3 star because of it.

I purchased one of these a number of years ago. It quit one day and I immediately went in search of another. Spent hours going all over town trying to find one to no avail. Went home and checked on line and found the best price at Amazon.com.
This unit is the greatest invention as far as I am concerned. For small cleanups to doing all my floors. I have a lot of tile and hardwood and it does a great job on both. The battery lasts long enough to do all the floors with time to spare. The head swivels so it gets in the tight spots around toilets and under kitchen cupboards. The only draw back and it is a minor one, is that if it even thinks you are about to turn on the spray, the vacuum shuts off. Keep your finger away from the trigger and it is fine. Took me awhile to figure out what the little brush is for. I use it to clean the filter which just dumps into the trash. I bought one of these units for my daughter in law and she is as impressed as I am.

I just received my vac/mop. Much easier to use than other mops of this type. The vacuum is efficient and pulls well. Since it is cordless it allows me to vacuum room to room without plugging and unplugging. I found it a little hard to push over the floor since the mop pad is in contact with the floor at the same time the vacuum is being used. If you put a dry duster cloth like a swiffer pad on the mop pad it is easier to push and picks up all the dust and the pet hair the vac misses making the vacuum more efficient. It positively can't be used on rugs. One advantage is that you can use other brand mopping products with it if you can't find the dirt devil product locally. Overall I'm very satisfied with this product and recommend it for people with tile/hardwood floors to maintain.Customer Review: Great for small cleaning jobs!

I bought this to use for small cleaning jobs, not expecting it to take the place of a mop and broom. This is great if you use it in between your major cleanings. I have a husband who seems to think he will drop dead if he wipes his feet and a 4 year old. My floor gets messy. I would have to sweep my floor several times a day and mop all the time. With this I can run it over the floor and it takes less than half the time as sweeping does. And I don't have to drag out my mop 2 or more times a week. I can spot mop just the mess. Then I only have to do a entire mopping once a week.
I do have to add, because it was given a bad review for this, This is not for carpet. This is a HARD floor cleaner. This is in no way meant to be used on carpet.

I love this product!!! Not only because it saves me time, but because it's so affordable. I had a Swiffer, but that product is so expensive to have, you have to buy the special cleaner & pads by that company & they are not cheap. With the Vac & Mop, I bought a big bottle of a concentrated cleaner & I make up my own cleaning solution. Which is costing me 2 dollars for 6 months+, while for the Swiffer it's about 3 bucks a bottle, which you use up in about 2 to 3 cleaning session, so a month. Also, you can purchase pads that will fit almost anywhere Walgreens, CVS, even at a dollar store!
This product is perfect for small spaces!!! It saves TIME & MONEY!!!!!!
