Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dirt Devil MBV2030PLM Rechargeable Broom Vacuum, Plum

Customer Review: it's just OK
Summary: 2 Stars

Heavy for something so small. The broom has to be angled just right to vacuum up the dirt. You can't vacuum under tables and chairs.

Customer Review: not strong enough
Summary: 2 Stars

More a broom than a vacuum. Has to be recently charged, otherwise it does not vacuum at all

Customer Review: This Broom Vac has a poor design to it
Summary: 1 Stars

It's not even worth 1 star but had to put something!
I purchased first one for my wife who is handicap then one for my mother in law the design makes it to where a door opens up to let the dirt etc off the floor go into the collection unit however it gets stuck open on the filter so all the dirt etc just falls right back out on the floor, now I see why they have new models the new ones have resolved this problem yet they have not pulled the old ones or did a recall on them and if you don't watch out if you look on it like I did it said "the warranty date starts 11/07 I purchased in 12/08 and the warranty is only good for 1 year" I contacted them about the top of the door staying open which they just said take it in for repairs, but asked about the warranty if you are given it as a gift they go by the date they engrave on it if you have a receipt they go by that date!!!! I would never consider buying this again for anyone until there are major improvements!

Customer Review: Don't waste your time.
Summary: 1 Stars

The thing just doesn't work very well. I have mostly wood floors with area rugs and I thought this would be a quick and easy way to clean up instead of dragging out my vacuum. Turns out I expend twice as much energy trying to get the Dirt Devil to pick something - anything! - up. It's pretty heavy for its size, so it doesn't make sense to use just as a broom if the pick-up part is so lame. So I wind up taking my vacuum out anyway, except now I've done twice the work and I'm ticked off to boot. If I hadn't thrown the box and paperwork away, I'd send it back.

Customer Review: Unsupported garbage
Summary: 1 Stars

Don't waste your money on anything from Dirt Devil, Royal, or Hoover. After less than two years, the rubber gasket that seals the dirt cup with the motor housing has disintegrated; making this unit worthless (no suction).

According to the Dirt Devil company... this part is unavailable at any price; even though this is a current model!!!

Not to mention it did not work all that well even when new.
