This fridge lock is great! My 21 month old daughter was in the refrigerator non-stop. Every time I turned around, she was gnawing through a pack of lunch meat or pouring milk on the floor! I couldn't take it anymore, so I ordered this little beauty and have been problem free ever since! It was super easy to install and very simple for our 5 year old to open. Sweet sanity is mine! This simple lock has made days with my terrible two toddler much more bearable. I bought two in case one broke. I didn't actually break it but I did forget it was there and yanked really hard and pulled the adhesive off. It came with more so my husband just re-applied it. My toddler is not strong enough to yank off the adhesive...yet.Customer Review: Easy to Install, Works Great

Was very easy to install. It includes spacers that allowed it to be installed even if the door of the appliance doesn't line up with the side (our refrigerator door is 1/2" wider than the refrigerator itself). Our 2-year-old is unable to figure it out but I'm expecting him to by the time he's three. Placing it out of the child's reach is most effective.Customer Review: Good safety latch

I ordered this latch back several months ago and installed in on my fridge. It is very simple to install - just peel and stick - which is very nice as not all childproofing products are that simple.
It has done a very good job of thwarting my 19 month old from her desire to gain entrance to the fridge. She is not strong enough to break it or get the stick 'em to release and she is unable to manipulate the unlocking device by pushing up a chair to reach the latch.
It is also easy enough to open one handed. It does have a locked open position so that you keep it open at certain times. I would strongly recommend doing this under certain circumstances - say when you're mother is in town and can't remember that there is a child proof latch on the fridge. Because while a 19 month old is probably not strong enough to just rip the whole device off, an adult is after a few pulls.
My advice is to go ahead and order this product - it's better than others I've seen. But order 2 or 3 (as I did) so that when someone inevitably rips it off the side of the fridge, you have a back up handy.
All in all, it's a good product for the money and compared to similar products on the market.

Easy to attach, stayed on great. It kept my preschooler out of the fridge until he was about 4 or so when he figured out how to use it. It broke after about a year (the locking part just came unhinged). I'll be buying another one for my 2yo.
