These mosquito repelling granules are made of a natural, biodegradable formula that is independently, professionally tested and proven to repel mosquitoes. Formulated with natural oils including lemongrass, mint and garlic oil, this product will not damage your lawn or garden. Works by creating a repellent barrier around the area to be protected, using natural ingredients and providing a safer alternative to poisons. Mosquito repelling granules are easy to apply, with the built-in sprinkler cap or via fertilizer spreader. This 5 lb. size treats up to 4,000 square feet. There is a small pond (maybe 25' across) about 100' from our back deck. In the evenings, mosquitos took control, chasing us inside. Tossing a few handfuls of these granules out onto the pond does the trick. According to the literature, they are not poisonous to other animals. My only worry is how I am affecting the ecosystem in the pond. I love the frogs. Do frogs eat mosquito larvae? If so, am I starving the frogs? I don't know.
