The Henkel Duck double-sided mounting tabs feature a permanent, double-sided adhesive foam for mounting small objects to clean, dry surfaces with excellent tack, peel, and holding power. These mounting tabs are a safe, easy alternative to nails, staples, tacks, and glues for holding objects two pounds or lighter. The moisture-resistant foam backing is designed for indoor use only. Customer Review: Extremely low profile, strong mounting tabs

The only downside of these tabs, as some other reviews have noted, is that the backing strips can be a real pain to remove.
That's a minor downside, however, given all the other positives. These mounting tabs are very strong and should be more than sufficient, so long as you follow the weight instructions (2 lbs max, 8 tabs per lb). We've used them to hold up cables too thick or heavy to use Cable-Clip White RG6 (100 pieces per bag), smoke detectors, and anything else that's fairly light but would usually require nails. They're far stronger than double sided tape, and the profile is not a whole lot thicker.
