Tools and Hardware Reviews of Duracraft DWM250 2-1/2-Gallon Warm-Mist Humidifier

Customer Review: Great product
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been searching for a good warm mist humidifier for a long time. I'd already purchased two before getting this one and I have to say I'm keeping this one! It doesn't emit too much mist and it doesn't make the walls in my baby's room wet. The other humidifiers I've used left everything damp and I was getting pretty tired of my baby suffering from dry nose because nothing else worked. I'm glad I got this humidifier because I think it's perfect. The baby's room is pretty small and this humidifier works perfectly in it. It doesn't leak and leave wet spots on my floor, which is another plus. I haven't had any problems whatsoever so far.

Customer Review: So Good Had to Get Two
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this humidifier a few years ago under a different name. It's very reasonably priced, works well, simple to use and its quiet. I use it about 9 months out of the year and run it 24 hours a day for about 6 of them and it has stood up very well. I bought a new one so I could take my old one to the office. It's pretty easy to clean and if you don't have hard water you won't need to clean it that often. I'm anxious to see how well the mineral absorption pads I bought will work as our water at home is pretty hard and I do have to clean it more often than I would like. Great bang for your buck.

Customer Review: Humidifier
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this to replace a Duracraft that lasted 5 or 6 years before it developed a slow leak at the plate that screwed onto the bottom. I read all the warm mist humidifier reviews and thought "none of them work any more." This one works just fine. I did not use any of the pads before so I don't use them now. I simply fill it each night, turn it to high, press the on switch and it runs until I turn it off in the morning. The coil stays cleaner if the unit is turned off before it runs out of water. I clean the unit every week or two.

Customer Review: Perfect for my needs
Summary: 5 Stars

When you keep this humidifier on low you will still need to fill it about ever 12 hours. I don't find this to be a problem. It puts enough moisture in the air for a 1000 sq. ft. area that there is no static electricity. That was my goal. You can add scented oil in the small reservoir to add a nice fragrance to the house. Then you can always add vicks if you have a cold and set it next to your bed with a warm mist.
This humidifier is very easy to fill. I would definitely recommend this humidifier to friends.

Customer Review: Why pay more? (Don't pay less!)
Summary: 5 Stars

For years I struggled with the cheaper "electrode type" warm mist humidifiers, and got more frustration than steam. But I didn't want to pay $100 for a humidifier. This is the perfect happy medium. Yes, the "2 1/2 gallons" is a bait-and-switch, but the unit will easily humidify a small room on low for nearly full day, and a larger room on high with a refilling or, at most, two. It's reliable, it's easy to clean, and the price is right. What more could you ask?
