Tools and Hardware Reviews of Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Customer Review: Worth the money on this one!
Summary: 5 Stars

Well I've had my share of different kinds of vacs. Recently we moved into a carpet filled house and I have two small boy, a Pug and a cat so you get the picture.
I wanted a vac that would do the job and last a while and I did what I could to find out the best buy for us.
I used a mom's forum that I belong to and hands down this was the one that mom's like best, not to mention reading the reviews on here and elsewhere.
Got it home, and with two snaps we were doing the floors. This thing not only pick it up great but it's so user friendly you'll want to hug the neck of the guy(s) that created it. It even has a handy handle to carry the box. It's light, not too big or too small but just right. It turns on a dime and sucks up your guck good. Cleaning the bag less canister rocks as well. Just push a button and the mess is in the trash, no hands needed. They even thought of a nice movable clip that attaches anywhere YOU need if for holding up the cord when not in use. Storage is easy since it's not huge.
Thumbs up!
I'm torn for being SO excited about a vacuum. I mean it is just a vacuum right? lol But I seem unable to contain myself.
If you can spend the extra bucks, I really suggest getting it if you are able. Worth it's price to me.

Customer Review: Fantastic Vacuum Cleaner
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned several vacuum cleaner brands - Eureka, Hoover, Kenmore, Bissell. When my last Kenmore vacuum cleaner got clogged, I have had about enough and decided to spend the money on a Dyson. I will never buy another brand, ever! Why I like it - fantastic suction power, light and extremely manueverable, easy to swing around corners, intelligent and elegant design, a handle that detaches to accommodate attachments to clean carpeted stairs, self-adjusting roller brush height for all types of carpets, easy to clean dirt canister and filters, solidly built with materials reflecting high quality, and fantastic suction power [did I already mention this?]. The Dyson ball really works and everything they said in the ad is true! What I don't like about it - my only complaint is the limited standard attachments and a relatively small dirt canister. You have to buy the other attachments which are somewhat costly. The dirt canister needs to be emptied frequently, especially in my household with 2 kids and 3 cats. But you should see all the cat hair it picked up from my carpet!!! The next time your vacuum cleaner breaks down and you end up spending half of its original cost on repairs, get a Dyson. You will not regret it and you will wonder why you waited so long to own one.

Customer Review: Probably the best vacuum cleaner ever made (until Dyson's next one)
Summary: 5 Stars

I hate vacuum cleaners. I have always seen them as an evil necessity. They are loud, dirty and expensive. They usually work fine for a while and then they lose suction. Still, I buy another one when my old one stops working. This time I decided to go for the Dyson based largely on their advertising. Mr. Dyson clearly believes that he has created the best vacuum cleaner there is, and then he improves it. Over and over again. You gotta love that!

I like the Dyson DC25 so much that I don't even put it away when I am done vacuuming. I just like looking at it. Here are the points that I enjoy the most about the Dyson DC25:

* The Ball: Since the motor is in the ball it has a low center of gravity and is easy to push around. The ball swivels nicely.
* The Refuse Canister: Nothing could be easier to empty. Push a button, remove the canister, push another and the bottoms opens to allow the stuff that you picked up to fall into the trash can.
* The Extension Wand: Just push a button, pull up the wand and add a attachment. No need to reattach hoses.
* It Has Great Suction!

I am very happy with my new Dyson and even look forward to vacuuming now (although I am sure that this will wear off eventually).

Customer Review: aparment size, excellent customer service!
Summary: 5 Stars

My husband and I received the DC25 as a wedding gift. We love it! It is the small version of the DC14 which makes it a perfect fit for our apartment. Since it's small, the bin requires more frequent emptying. I empty once after a full vacuum of my 1bdrm apartment. A house with more rooms should probably use the larger DC14.

The two filters are washable--each month just run them under water and let them air dry for 24hs.

I like that it does not use bags. Less waste and I don't have to stock up on them... plus, easy to retrieve socks! lol.

I don't recommend it for anyone with hyper sensitive allergies, though. Since the dust is collected in a bin, emptying it exposes you to all the stuff it picked up (which was in your home to begin with). Sometimes I need to use a little stick to help release some of the dust/hair clumps as I empty it.

The suction is good and the noise isn't too bad, quieter than some.

Dyson Customer Service is excellent! After a while, I needed replacement parts on it. I called them up and they sent them to me for free! Best yet, they didn't hassle me to send in the defective pieces to determine if it was all my fault. They treated me like an honest human being.

Customer Review: This vacuum is so bomb
Summary: 5 Stars

$500 for a vacuum? It seems crazy, but I can confidently say that purchasing a Dyson is WELL WORTH IT. I had been using a Bissell Healthy Home for awhile, which is certainly a good vacuum, but also a vacuum that defines cumbersome and heavy. In contrast, the DC25, at 16 pounds, is the lightest and most suction-y vacuum I've ever had. The handling is superb. The ball allows you to get easily in and around the house, and the light weight makes the actual vacuuming a breeze! It was so light, in fact, I was questioning its effectiveness. We had recently had our carpets steam-cleaned, and as a result, it was pulling up some dirt, but not a ton. That went away when I ran it over a bathroom rug. It pulled up a lot of the strands. It's unfortunate it was ruined, but the vacuum sure does work!

It comes with two attachments, one for getting in corners and another for stairs. The stair attachment is pretty small, and you're better off just using the vacuum itself. It has a handle at the top which makes holding it while vacuuming really easy.

Overall, this actually makes vacuuming FUN! Even my husband was fascinated with the product - it's very modern-looking, with a very unique design. We are so happy with our purchase!
