I don't like the sentence above. Even though I am thirteen, don't have an e-mail address and spell a few words wrong, I wish to be taken seriously. I know plenty about vacuums and what my opinion out there and be taken seriously.
First off, we bought the dyson a few months ago and loved it from the start. Our house looks, smells, and even feels cleaner. All the atachments are easy to use and work well.
Some people say that it dosn't have that much power. They clam that it can't even pick up the edge of a rug(a big one). This is true because the head of the dyson is desined to not creat a vacuum. It has some "holes" in the bottum of the head that let air in, so it dosn't suck the carpet in and get stuck and hard to move. All the tools have this feture too. So when a Kirby salesman puts that cover on your vacuum head, look and see if it has holes to let the air through, the Kirby dosn't.
The seventeen foot hose works wonderfully on the stairs ( I should know, it's one of my jobs). We got the mini turbine head that picks up the lint and things that just sucion heads leave behind.
I would recomend this vacuum to ANYONE that is in the market. Any dyson is worth it.

I bought this vacuum two years ago due to having two long-haired pets, not to mention my own shedding. It's been WONDERFUL. Absolutely wonderful. As much as my mom makes comments - and has for the past 2 years - about how much I spent on this thing, she has yet to complain about it since we've stayed with her. In fact, when we discussed my children and I coming to live with my parents while my husband was in Iraq, one of the first things my mom "suggested" that I bring was my Dyson. They have a dog that sheds quite a bit, and their vacuum cleaner wasn't doing the trick. Our first day there, my vacuum picked up a canister and a half full of dog hair and dust in their living room alone. They had *just* vacuumed the prior day.
Really, the only complaint I have with this vacuum is the hose. I with that it was more flexible all the way down, though I see how they can't really make it that way. It can be a little resistant when pulling the flexible part out, and sometimes it has pulled the vacuum cleaner over, which is annoying.
Overall I absolutely LOVE my Dyson and have no regrets in buying it. I highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

I respect everyone's opinion and believe that I am entitled to my own as well - this is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. Period. On Saturday we went to Best Buy and got it, it was on sale (check it out). We contemplated about the Purple (animal) version but it is exactly the same unit and the difference was in accessories. I always asked our son to vacuum the house; on Sunday I tried it and could not let go of it. My house is always very clean and I could not believe the awful job our old vac was doing: I emptied 1 can PER ROOM. After cleaning the carpets just shined. This thing creates unbelievable suction. If you wonder about differences between it and DC07, get the 14; the wand extension from the top is so useful, and the filter is at the top now. I could just extend the wand any time, pop the accessory on it and clean everything. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is made in Malaysia, but hey, what isn't? How many crappy vacuum cleaners have you bought so far? They say "We are not rich enough to buy cheap things" and I can attest to that 100% of the time. Bite the bullet and get this baby, you will know the difference in vacuuming.Customer Review: Quality justifies the price

This vacuum is a great performer and leaves your floors ultra clean. It picks up dust, dirt, sand, hair and then some.
I was amazed at how much dirt this vacuum picked up from my carpets! especially since I had vacuumed them just yesterday.
What makes it so outstanding is that it cleans so much better than other vacuums on the market.
The low reach tool is a must if you have furniture. However the other optional tools are not necessary unless you have animals.
Yes it's pricey...BUT at least when your finished you know that things are clean. One proof of this is that you will find youself dusting less often.
The telescopic wand is a big improvement over the DC07 although it takes a bit of getting used to.
The cord could have been retractable, but then there would be no improvement for the next model.
Overall it's worth the money and you will NOT be sorry that you bought this.

All kidding aside, this thing is amazing. Some friends had purchased one and I asked how they liked it and then started researching. My mother actually got this one for us and at first I was thinking "Well, it's not the Ball" but who needs the ball - aside from being a foxy shade of red, the DC 14 Low Reach is AMAZING!!! The spouse and I were literally disgusted by what came out of the carpet (we have two dogs) and amazed by how they looked afterward - soft and like new carpet! And you don't smell a thing, and it's so easy to empty the canister, you don't breathe anything back up IMHO. Now my mom and aunt both want one after seeing everything the Dyson pulled up. It is worth the price, but we got ours off Ebay for around 350. It was a refurb, but still has a warranty and was beautiful. Worth every penny!!!
