I rarely comment about products, but after seeing all of the one star ratings on this product, I felt I needed to record my experience. I've owned the floor lamp model for about 10 years, and it is still going strong. I use it daily for reading, sewing, fine needlework particularly embroidery and quilting. I recently ordered my second bulb. If I do the math, 8-10 hours a day minimum times each 5 years equals about a minimum of 14,000 hours of use/life expectancy per bulb...right?
This product impressed me so much that I ordered one of the smaller lamps to go in my office about 6 years ago. I don't want to jinx myself, but it's still on the factory bulb.
The light is amazing for anyone who needs pure light for quilting and crafts, or "older" eyes. It also is a healthier light to use in the winter to keep the cabin fever at bay when the snow is everywhere.
