I researched steam mops extensively and they all seemed to have at least one drawback. I weighed my options and decided to go with the Eureka 313A Enviro Hard-Surface Floor Steamer. I was not disappointed. I really enjoy cleaning my floors with this tool and don't know how I lived so long without it. I wanted to get a steam mop because I have a toddler in the house and wasn't interested in using chemicals to clean my hardwood. I also wanted something that was quick and easy to use. With a toddler and a dog in the house it always seems my floor needs cleaning.
I had the same experience that most users have had with a very wet floor during the first use. After that, the mop has functioned very well. It does a great job of cleaning my floors without having to get down on my hands and knees to get the job done. I will say that the cloths are the one drawback of this machine. They are hard to get really clean and can't be machine dried for shrinkage reasons. I wish they were less expensive to replace as well. I have had my mop for almost a year now and haven't replaced them yet, so it isn't a major issue. I also think users should realize that this will not clean grout, that is something that has to be done by hand using a hand held steam tool or chemicals. This wasn't an issue for me because I never expected it to clean grout but I think some users are surprised that it doesn't.
Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone with hard surface floors. I have talked about this machine so much that I actually convinced my mother to buy one as well. She loves it too!

I have 3 kids 3 and under, and my tile floors definitely show that. On my knees one afternoon trying yet again to scrape up some hardened mashed banana under the table, a friend told me I should get a steam mop. I'd vaguely heard of them, catching glimpses of Shark TV commercials, but was very unfamiliar with the brands & options available. After lots of research online, I chose the Eureka Envirosteam, mainly for it's high temperature, handle height (my husband and I are both tall), and great price point. I used it for the first time this week and was so thrilled! Can't stop smiling each time I walk through the house... This thing is incredible, so easy to use and works like magic on my tile. After reading so many reviews, I was amazed at how well the Envirosteam really cleans. Some have complained about grout not getting clean - mine did! Just hold the steamer over the problem area for awhile and the steam literally powers away the dirt/germs. Even in the bathroom around our little potty (where spills are inevitable and often, and the grout was looking pretty bad), I just let the steamer sit for 15-30 seconds in spots and the floor looks like new. All this with NO chemicals, floor residue, dirty mops to wring out, or yucky water to dump? Not to mention how fast the whole process is and how quickly it dries. (Very important when you have toddlers who slip easily on wet floor, and limited time when they're occupied.) Did 3 rooms and a bath in about 25 min. I'M SOLD!!! My new #1 fave cleaning tool! Looked for several months for a steam mop that got to the sufficient temp to disenfect, required no further purchases for pads or cleaner, had machine washable pads, was easiest to use and had great ratings and was under $100. This met all requirements and so far I couldn't be happier! I got it in 3 days without paying extra for some blessed reason. That night I steam mopped every hard floor surface in my home and smiled the entire time! My bathroom floor tile has always been my nemesis, but this mop helped me get clean grout I have been battling for years. I've tried bleach and soaking and scrubbing, but nothing worked as well as this. After running the mop thoroughly over the floor once, I scrubbed with a brush all the grout and then mopped up that surprising mess to reveal the best looking bathroom floor I've ever had! Also, no streaks left on any floor in our home: ceramic tile, stone slate tile and linoleum. The ceramic tile I wiped down with a towel since it is so smooth and when wet is quite slippery so I cannot say for sure it would air dry to the same pristine condition. The steam mop heated up almost instanlty barely 3 minutes and the pads laundered very well, although you have to air dry them. Not too much trouble since there are two. I read one review where a woman said she used a dish towel eventually to replace her pads and I can see that it would be an adequate solution if I ever had to. The controls on the steam mop are very simple and extremely easy to use. I love this mop and so far am extremely happy with my purchase. STRONGLY recommend!Customer Review: This is THE ONE to buy

I LOVE my Enviro Steamer. I bought my first one 10 years ago. Last fall, it gave up the ghost because of a design issue that has been solved in the new incarnation. In fact, the three minor things I did not like about my earlier model are solved in the new model. Way to go Eureka!
I made the mistake of trying a couple of other designs (Shark killed my back! and another one that was definitely made in China...both of the ones shipped to me never worked right). I was so happy when I went back to the internet and saw the Enviro Steamer was available again.
I told my husband I actually felt like dancing I was so happy to be steam mopping with my Enviro Steamer. I have about 800 sf of tile, I just fill and go, it covers the whole area. To move into another room, I simply unplug it, move, plug it back in and keep going. The weight is where it should be, on top of the pad. It cleans so well, for tougher stains just keep it steaming on that spot. In fact, it's cleaning the spots up that the others couldn't get! The pads are thick and easily tossed in the wash. The floor is clean, not wet which is great since I have two dogs. My white tile floor just sparkles and I know its clean because of the steam. I also like that fact that there are no chemicals.
Just vacuum, then use the Enviro Steamer. You'll never buy any other type of mop again, EVER! I promise! This is the best product for steam cleaning floors at a great price. (I paid $100 ten years ago for this.)

This was my second adventure in purchasing a steam cleaner and I am happy to say it will be my last. A year ago I purchased a Bissell Steam Mop and although it initially was okay, it left a little too much water on my floors, I kept using it because it was better than the Swiffer on my hard woods. Then about a month ago the machine completely pooped out on me an basically started leaking water all over the place. I knew I wanted another steam mop and read reviews for all of them, kept notes and checked with friends and I settled on the Enviro Steamer. I was giddy with excitement when it showed up, I put it together and used it within 15 minutes after I brought it in the house! The first thing I loved about it was it's size, it was twice as big as the Bissell, which was great for me since I have about 1,000 sq.ft. of hard wood floors. The second thing that I loved was a little feature, it came with a tray to place the steamer on (when heating up and while hot), which doesn't seem like a big thing but I had to carry around a cookie sheet with the Bissell so I didn't burn the floor! The biggest and best feature is the cleaning, it made my floors clean and so smooth I had forgotten how fun wearing socks was, seriously, I could glide across them and no dirty socks! Plus the steam is obviously more powerful on the Enviro Steamer because my floors are dry almost immediately, so no streaks and no worrying about leaving wet footprints when I walk back over spots I just cleaned. Yea, I really, really LOVE my Enviro Steamer!
