Customer Review: Just What I Needed!

I wanted to find a cordless stick-vac mostly because I have a 2 year old and a dog that sheds like crazy. I say I have a hard time keeping up with all their messes, but honestly I am just too lazy to pull out the big clunky vacuum we have in the closet. The first thing that attracted me was the color. I'm a huge fan of orange, in fact it is the wall color in my kitchen. The second thing was the Electrolux brand. I know it is a great brand with good reviews, so I did not hesitate. (FYI, we got this from Costco for $79.99, the best deal that I have seen.) We got it home, waited for the thing to charge (24 hours the first time around was a little agonizing.), and I took it for a whirl the next day.
It does exactly what I needed it to do:
It got all the crumbs off the floor.
It didn't suck up my floor mats like my standard vacuum does, so I can actually vacuum them instead of just shaking them off. It picks up so much dog hair, I couldn't believe it.
It is smooth to manuver and as light as can be.
The hand-vac does a great job with the brush attachment to dust open areas like our T.V. Stand and coffee table.
Its powerful, yet gentle enough that I can vacuum our kitchen table with the table cloth still on. It picks up the crumbs, but not my tablecloth.
In a pinch it works on my carpet, but I can tell that it wasn't really meant for that.
The hand-vac picked up an entire bowl of lucky charms my son spilled on the floor today. Also works great with dried fruit, cheerios, just never anything sticky or wet or it might get clogged.
My favorite thing about this vacuum is that I can leave it in plain sight all the time. It glows blue when charging, nice when all the lights are turned off in the kitchen. The orange color blends in nicely with my walls so I don't really even notice it. My husband's favorite part is since it is right there, I actually use it, daily, often more than once a day.
I will warn: make sure you clean it out with each use so it doesn't get too full, especially if you have pets. The cleaning-out is a little tedious because you have to take the hand-vac out to remove the collection area and the filter. Once that is taken care of its a breeze. It even has this little spring and pull to clear the filter of dust. I'm so impressed with this product! I hope it lasts for a long time.
