I bought my Electrolux EL6988D in 2005 and I love it. Without a doubt the best vacuum I have ever owned. It is quiet yet very powerful and one of the few that cleans fabric, wood floors and carpet exceptionally well. I use it weekly and no parts have broken or failed. It is very well built and makes vacuuming as fun as it can be. I recommend it VERY highly!Customer Review: Best on the Market!

This is the third vacuum we've bought in the last 4 years, and we finally found a winner! With 4 dogs, constant teenager traffic in and out and a combination of hardwood and tile floors and carpeted areas, this vacuum excels at everything. This canister is excellent. Great floor cleaning & the rug cleaner operates very well. I went under the bed for the first time in a long time was able to clean all of the rug. No dust was floating around in the light. The vac bag is sealed and keeps dust inside. Easy to cart around or roll. Nice long cord. I love this; it works better than so many vacuums I have owned (and I have owned a lot!). However, since I have four cats, I did purchase (not through Amazon) the 'Pet Paw' attachment for pet hair on chairs, etc. This was essential....and it works great. But it wouldn't if the machine itself wasn't fabulous. Easy, functional, simple...I love it!Customer Review: I love it!

I love it--I never had a vacuum cleaner that worked like this! It's not noisy- I didn't believe how different my furniture looked----it was actually really vacuumed!!!It moves so nice and it's light--I don't mind carrying it upstairs. Everything is on the bar, except the carpet part, and it is all so easy.-Alice
