A few years ago I purchased a Sears Kenmore vacuum for 250.00. Within weeks, I was on the floor putting the belt back on. Within a few months, I was in a vacuum repair shop because it was clogged up. Between the repairs (every few months), clogging, and having the get on my hands and knees repeatedly to put the belt back on, I gave up and threw in the towel and admitted I had completely wasted 250.00 on a vacuum. Sears was completely unsympathetic and a salesperson even admitted I bought a lemon!!Next I was suckered in by an infomercial and purchased the Shark Stick. Yes, it picks up everything, except dirt, lint, and pet hairs. A real joke. Great if you need to vacuum nuts and bolts.
Another waste of 65.00.
Desperate for a vacuum that both worked and was reliable, I asked a co-worker what she recommended. She raved about this vacuum so I decided I'd try it...I am FLOORED! This is the greatest machine. I am in housekeeping heaven!! Everything everyone says is true about this reasonably priced vacuum. It picks up EVERYTHING and it practically pushes itself. You can stop looking. This is THE vacuum you've been looking for.

Granted my old vacuum cleaner was a Hoover Concept one that was aging fast. It no longer had two speeds and we had to replace the cord a few years back. This new Eureka which I had done countless hours of research on was looking better every time I came to Amazon.com and looked at my wish list. I decided one day it was time to take the plunge and buy the Eureka I'd been drooling over. What a wonderful machine. Light weight and so quiet. I've never had a light on a vacuum but this is nice to have around the dark sides of our bed. I realized my Hoover hadn't been doing a very good job with all the things in the filter. Cleaning the filter was a breeze and so easy. I love the new hose attachement that works really well under the cupboards in that little area that vacuums never can go. This is a fantastic machine and such a small price to pay. Oh and one more thing the cord is sooooo long, I don't even have to unplug it to go from room to room. Our bedroom has few plugs, now it doesn't matter because the cord reaches from the other bedroom and the bathroom with cord to spare.Customer Review: Wow!

Before I bought this vacuum, I had one of those bagless Bissell brands for about two years that died after being clogged countless times...which is pretty sad since I only really have one big rug in my all tile-military housing. The rug is relativly new, but with two toddlers I needed something with a little more oompf, that wouldnt get clogged as much. This model was very easy to put together, which made me really happy since I am not too assembly savy. After one run over my rug I was amazed to see what an earlier vacuuming that day did NOT pick up with my old vacuum! 1/4 of the canister was full with dust, cat hair, my hair and yucky gray fuzz. This vacuum is so strong it almost propelled itself right out of my hands when I turned it on, I was so excited! The canister is easy to empty, and way less messy than the bissell. (By the way I don't reccommend the cheaper bissell models!) I love how the hose detatches on both ends from the vacuum so you can easily take care of any clogs that might happen (tho this is yet to happen!) Anyway, this is a great vacuum for the money!Customer Review: Disgusting!

I knew our carpets were dirty, but not THAT dirty!Our 6-month old just started crawling, so we figured it was time to purchase a vacuum that would actually work on the choke hazards lying all over our floors. Our carpets are fairly old and nubby, so little balls of who-knows-what like to blend in with the shag. Our old vacuum just wasn't doing the trick -- I had to constantly follow behind it and hand pick all the small debris off the floor.
So I came onto Amazon and read the reviews of vacuums, and this one seemed to have the right amount of enthusiasm for the right price. I ran out and got one immediately, and excitedly came home to put it together and test it out. The dust cup almost filled up in just our living room! Ew!! But our old nubby carpet is now fluffy and soft and cushiony, too! I can't believe it. I'm thrilled. I left the vacuum out in hopes to run over the carpet again tomorrow to see just how much more it picks up.
I highly recommend this model if you're looking for a great vacuum at a great price.

Wow! I picked this vacuum based on price and all the good reviews. I figured it probably did a good job based on how [inexpensive]it was. Wrong! This thing pickes up everything! This vacuum has a lot of power. I have 2 cats and they shed heavily. I put the vacuum hose on the floor and watched all the hair flock to the vacuum. Oh and the apholstery tool works wonders on the couch where hair normally won't budge from. It has a true hepa filter which is a relief for my allergies. I love how you can see everything it picks up. Nasty! I am so glad all that dust, dirt and hair are now in the garbage. You will be amazed at how much stuff it picks up that you didn't know was there. I had no idea I was walking around and lying on all that filth! It's easy to clean too. Not that it really matters, but I was pleasantly surprised at how attractive it is. From the picture you only see blue and some yellow. The blue part has silver glitter and I like anything that has glitter. It's not a girly kind of glitter, so guys, do not fear.
