Our vacuum cleaner was starting to have a special (unpleasant) smell, even immediately after changing the bag, so I read the manual and realized the HEPA filter was to blame and needed to be replaced. I read reviews about the HEPA filters with Arm & Hammer and some reviewers complained that the filters added a smell of their own and that it wasn't desirable. I ordered what I thought were plain filters for that reason, but received Arm & Hammer ones anyway. I decided to give it a try and haven't had any issues. The smell is gone from our vacuum and I haven't noticed any left by the filter.Customer Review: Got the real thing from GoVacuum

There are several third party vendors for this filter. Amazon rotates them through when you visit the product page. I read stories where people were looking for the genuine Eureka filter instead of some cheap copy. But when they ordered, those people got shipped a cheap copy anyway. All I can say is that I got what looked like a genuine Eureka filter when I ordered from GoVacuum. Unless they are counterfeiting the packaging too. Filter fits perfectly an will hopefully capture a lot of dust in the future.Customer Review: Good HEPA filter
