I was looking to replace my vacuum cleaner and I got some suggestions from friends /folks in the stores etc. Someone told me to get a particluar one. I went online and it was selling for upwards of $600. I was like, "For that price, it better come with a maid, forever". Nonetheless I did some more research and found this. I bought it. It was a little tricky putting together (I don't do good with assembly manuals), but it took no time. My carpet was looking nice from vacuuming day before with my older Dirt Devil, but like a kid with a new toy, I had to vacuum all over again. I was shocked to see how much this thing sucked out of the 'clean' carpet. It is so powerful and efficient, and also a serious bargain for the price. If you want a vacuum that really works and not have to borrow out of your 401k to get it - this is it, people. I have one room that needs to be vacuumed (medium-sized carpeted bedroom) and this is exactly the vacuum I wanted. It is lightweight and easy to store. It picks up everything appropriate smoothly & quickly & thoroughly. It was fairly easy to put it together once out of the box (there was a couple of places where some careful reading & studying had to be done in the manual to figure it out). You do have to watch for the hose popping out of the base of the vaccum when pushing it under things like beds to reach out-of-the-way places, but it is easy to push back into the nozzle. Shipping was excellent, the package arrived in perfect condition and in good time. Overall, this is a an excellent vacuum for price and task, and probably best for smaller houses, offices, or apartments. I suspect it's better to pay a bit more money for a vacuum for bigger areas or heavier usage.Customer Review: Great Vacuum..Great Price !!!

I never write reviews, yet I felt the need to write one concerning this vacuum. This vacuum is great, it's lightweight, the price is great, and it is wonderful if you have pets or allergies like I do.The Only downside is the canister needs to be changed frequently. I was able to vacuum three rooms plus a hallway, and emptied the cansister once. I love how you can dust blinds and under lamp shades with this vac.It also has a long tool for the sides of walls...or to get in those nooks and crannies. If you want a vacuum thats resonably priced and sucks up dirt like nobodies business this ones for you. I had a Bissel and Dirt Devil and for some reason the hoses always got stuff stuck in them, and i had to pull the dirt out..not fun! Trust me you will enjoy this little vac for basic basement use or as a spare.Customer Review: LOVE IT!

I purchased the Dyson 07 for several hundred dollars....and returned it, it was so bad. A friend recommened the Eureka Optima but i came across this model and picked it up for the price. I was not disappointed.
It is and does all it claims... and it picks up the dog hair and the mess.
Its lightweight, It has two level settings for going normal or low so you and also glide over floor to carpet hassle free. The tools attach with ease and a quick swap. Its compact enough to get around corners and small areas.
The cansiter does dispense from the top to it can get a little dusty when dumping and the filter gets dirty easily.
Its only drawback is that if you want to get around the house with it you will need an extension cord (as with most of today's vaccuums).

I bought this vacuum 5 years ago and it still works very good. I purchased this Eureka 4700 for $50 expecting it to be a 1 or 2 year temporary vacuum, my money situation was not the best so i just needed something cheap in price. Right from the start i was impressed with its power, picking up mostly everything in its path, after only one pass. I have never tried it on hard floors,(so i can not rate it for its quality on hard floors)and i do not want to scratch my floors, besides thats what a broom is for. Its very easy to empty and to clean the filter, only takes about 5 minutes, or less. I expected this vacuum to quit along time ago, and it might quit sometime soon? But the value for the price, far exceded my expectations....
