The Mini Shark Hand Vacuum from Euro-Pro provides the classic power of the Shark hand vac in a small package. All the features of the original Shark including a bagless dust cup, the Mini Shark boasts 400 watts of power and includes crevice tool, brush and flexible hose accessories.A hand vacuum with weak suction is no more than clutter. That?s why the Euro-Pro Mini Turbo Shark vacuum packs a lot of bite into its diminutive form. With 400 watts of power, the unit delivers a surprising amount of suction, so it?s a great tool to have on hand in the kitchen, garage, shop, or office. It makes quick work of dry spills and debris and can also be used for dusting in nooks and crannies with the included attachments. One thing to note: 400 watts of power does come at a price, and this hand vacuum is no kitten. The sound is not especially unpleasant--it?s just loud--but you probably won?t be able to crank it on if the baby is sleeping.
Easy to manipulate, the vacuum has a comfortable handle and a simple rocker power switch. The bagless dirt collection cup pops off easily for emptying, and the interior filter is washable. Conversion to attachment cleaning is also straightforward--the flexible hose, crevice tool, and brush fit snugly into the Shark?s oval mouth. About the size of a youth football, the hand vac measures 8-1/4 inches long, nose to tail, and stands 5-1/2 inches high and 3-3/4 inches wide. I got this Mini Shark when Amazon was having the "buy a bunch of kitchen stuff and get this for a buck", and I'm very impressed. I have 6 cats and a bunch of rodents (in cages!) and this thing is terrific for cleaning out the rat cage, picking up stray cat litter around the boxes, and all the hair fluff all over the place. It's so light, and the accessory tube that comes with it makes everything even easier.Some people might be annoyed that it's electric, rather than rechargable, but the power comes from electricity, and it sure does "suck" ! It was picking up pebbles that my daughter always manages to bring into the house with her. Even my Dyson vacuum sometimes spits those back out.
Of course the collector cup is too small so I have to carry a garbage bag around with me, but that's ok. I mean this thing is small, so of course the collector is small.
This is not going to clean your house unless you live in a tiny shack, but it's wonderful for small, hard to reach areas and spot cleaning. I'm ordering a couple more to place around the house, and one for my daughter to use in her room exclusively.
