I own a Shark steamer, so when I saw the steam mop, I had to have one. Besides being a little bulky for day to day cleaning, the one and only complaint I have *about the steamer* is that the floor mop attachment was pretty ineffective. In fact, we broke the head on ours trying to use it, because it wasn't meant to bend or swivel. So, one night while flipping channels I saw an infomercial for this item and I went out and bought the steam mop the next day. The problem of not swiveling has been taken care of. The problem of not bending has been taken care of. I can get under the edges of appliances, all the way up to the baseboards under the counters, and it works like a charm. In addition to people, we have 4 dogs in our home and our Shark steam mop cleans up everything stuck to the floor with very little effort. I have nothing but good things to say about Shark products and if they come out with something new, I'm probably going to go buy it. At present, I own three (the steamer, the steam mop and the sweeper) and I love them all. They make cleaning SO much easier -- I *hate* *Hate* *HATE* to clean -- and almost pleasurable. (Almost.) The best thing about them is they eliminate the need for cleaning solvents -- saving lots of money and saving allergy sufferers from reacting to them. I bought this mop on the recommendation of a friend. I had seen the mop advertised and was wanting it for a while. I am pleased with the look, size and the actual work the Shark does. I have used the mop to clean my kitchen and hallway floor. The things I like about the Shark Electric Steam Mop is the fact that I don't have to touch chemicals, dirty water or wring a mop head out. You just pour water into the container and then wait for the Shark to warm up. You push down on the handle and watch the steam come out and start cleaning. I love it for under my cabinets in the kitchen where I am always finding dropped food and other things. Since my floors are so old I don't think they get as shiny as most other floors would and do with the Shark Steam mop. I love the fact as to how fast the floors actually dry. No more waiting for the floors to be dry in an hour or so. The one thing I don't like about the Shark is that I am afraid that the handle will break. The handle feels a little flimsy to me otherwise I am quite please with my purchase.
If you are looking to help the environment and wanting to keep your children safe then a Shark Steam Mop is a good choice.

I loathe using the typical mop and bucket due to the mess and general hassle, and refrain from using harsh cleaning agents around our dogs. After seeing the Shark infomercial, I decided it was worth the purchase cost -- and it's the best such purchase we've made in years! It's easy to maneuver, given the long cord and lightweight design, and cleans beautifully and quickly. Unlike other designs, the Shark comes with a handy flask and funnel, and apparently an attachment can be purchased that enables it to steam clean carpets. This is one of the few cleaners that lives up to its promises, but I also offer the following considerations: if you have 1000+ square feet to clean, purchasing additional microfiber pads is highly suggested; although it is advertised as using tap water, several notes in the packaging advise using distilled water, so as to prolong the life of the Shark; and, finally, it is helpful to vacuum or Swiffer the floor prior to mopping. All in all, it's a great product, and is on my list of gifts to give to family and friends!Customer Review: Simply Amazing!!

The Shark Steam Mop is simply amazing!!!!!!! Mopping in our house has become less of a chore more and of a pleasure! This is one of those "How did I ever live without it?" products that I recommend to anyone who is looking for a high performance floor cleaner that does not have all the downsides of toxic chemical cleaners. Our floors no longer have the chemical film residue (and that horrible smell that gives me a headache) -Shark Steam Mop is so easy to use that my 10 year old daughter now asks if she can mop the floors! The floors dry instantly, saving me time and the irritation of having to block off an entire room and chase my family and pets out while we wait for it to dry. I have been recommending this to all my friends and family and have thrown out all the chemical cleaners in my home. I no longer have to worry when my cat or dog lie on the floor. The best part of the product is that I think it out performs those chemical cloth cleaners that simply smudge the dirt.Customer Review: makes mopping quick and easy

I have hardwood floors and would dread mopping every week. I also have a young child and 2 dogs and 2 cats so the floors get dirty. I love this steam mop because I am able to do my floors in half the time than it used to take when I used a regular mop and bucket. The best thing is that the floors dry in less than 2 minutes which is important when you have kids and pets running all over the place while you try to clean. I used to mop once a week but now that I have the Shark Steam mop, I mop every other day since it is so quick, easy and efficient.
On the down side, there are some streaking issues but if you go back over those spots really well, the streaks go away. I also wish the cord was longer because I do have to unplug it as I move from room to room but I deal with it. I also wish it held more water before it needed to be refilled. All in all, it is a great product and worth every penny.
