I got this steamer as a gift for Christmas and I love it. It does feel a bit cheap, but it has cut my mopping time at least in half. Some reviews suggest it leaves the floor soaking wet, but that has not been my experience at all. On the contrary, I think the floor dries exceptionally quickly, quicker than a mop would. I love that it only uses steam and no need for chemicals or rinsing. It's perfect for everyday use and I can mop my kitchen floor in about 1 minute. I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old and I needed a tool that would help cut down on dragging out a mop and a bucket of water, and trying to keep them out of the area until the floor dries, and then rinsing, etc. I also think that it leaves LESS streak marks than a regular mop. LOVE IT and would/have recommend it to anyone with small children and not a lot of time.Customer Review: Love it, Love it, Love it!!!

I have owned this steam mop since February of this year (2010) and can honestly say that this is the best "Mop" I have ever owned. It's lightweight, easy to use and cleans my hardwood floors like a dream! The only down side is that you have to keep refilling the reservoir when you are using it, but I must say if it continues to clean my floors the way it does I son't mind refilling it constantly! I especially like the size of the steam mop. It is easy to maneuvor in the smallest areas including my bathroom.
If you are looking for a "Green" way to clean your floors, this product is the one to buy. I have asthma and have already felt the diffence in my health and breathing without all of the different chemicals flying through the air. It is also beneficial to the health of my child and grand children!!!

I bought this mop just two days ago so I cannot judge its reliability yet.
My floors are usually not very dirty - a tea/coffee drop here and there. Once I vacuum, I only need the mop to freshen the floors. Nevertheless, mop and bucket have never worked for me.
Shark Steam Mop is very easy to assemble; it takes less than five minutes to get it out of the box and running. The steam can be regulated using the handle; the more you push forward, the more steam you get. The floors are left sparkling clean and slightly damp. When you are done mopping, toss the pad into your washing machine.
I know that it is hard to judge a product after one use only, but I wanted to share my experience after I saw the negative ones. This mop might not work for everyone but it surely does for me!

I lead a fast-paced life, with little time to clean and a roommate that notices any speck of dust or dirt in the apartment. Fake cleaning the college way only gets you so far into your adult life. I started using the Shark Steam Mop so my hardwood floors would finally get the attention they deserved. I was able to cover my entire kitchen, living room and bedroom in less than 30 minutes. When my roommate came home she thought I must have paid someone to clean because she couldn't imagine I'd do such a thorough job myself. It's easy to assemble, use and put away--just toss the pad in with the wash. The steam feature is even fun... but I'll let my roommate figure that part out for herself. With a professional organizational background I live by what I preach: if you don't need it, use it or have some memory of it, you need to get rid of it. I have officially replaced my mop and bucket (and all of my other mistaken purchases in the floor cleaning world) for the Shark Steam Mop. This product has the cleaning "wow factor" we all seek but have never attained in a single product. The Shark Steam Mop has taken my cleaning cabinet to the next level of organization by consolidating the number of products I need to keep on hand. This one product will have you thanking the inventor as you easily and without chemicals breeze through scuff marks, coffee stains and those mystery sticky spots, all while getting yourself one step closer to organizational nirvana!
