Ordered this directly from amazon and had it inside a week with super saver shipping. amazon's service is 2nd to none in my opinion.
Anyway, I bought this device for one purpose in mind. Steam cleaning my vinyl LP records. Some of you may be scratching your heads, but as an audio enthusiast, this is one tweak that works really well in cleaning records. Helps to eliminate those annoying pops and crackles caused by gunk and debris that gets trapped inside the record grooves other cleaners can't reach. When I first heard about this method, my first thought was that this could cause warping and melting of the vinyl. In reality, it would be very difficult to harm the record unless you kept the steam concentrated on a single point of the LP. The Euro-Pro Steam Shark is an invaluable tool for my need and is now part of my record cleaning regiment. 5*****Stars all the way for this purpose. There's less surface noise now when I spin a record and the sonic characteristics are improved with tighter bass and sparkling highs. Got some old records you want to play, but think they just sound to bad for enjoyable listening? Try this, it really works!
