I didn't expect much for the price I paid, so I wasn't disappointed in the quality, but I can't use the keypad. The little light that comes on when you open the door, doesn't go off. It will kill the copper top batteries in a day, so the next day, the keypad is dead. I have to keep the key handy as it is the only way to get in. If it wasn't for this, Id be somewhat content. If you're looking for something to deter your children from getting into your valuables, this will work, but it really just keeps the honest people honest. I guess for the money it is a good security box that might slow down a theif. But if you really want your stuff not to be stolen this is not the way to go. It's to easy to pry loose and seems tinny. Just don't put anything to valualble in it. It makes a good deturrent so hide your stuff somewhere else so when they take "Your Safe" thinking they scored your stuff will be safe. Mine was missing parts. If it was not so cheap I would have returned it. But it does work and an ok deal at the price. Hope this helps, Ricky P.Customer Review: Useless Redundancy

I got this safe because of the feature of having both a keypad lock and a key. However, the keypad malfunctions all the time. Batteries (several types were tried) never last for more than a day. Essentially it is only a key safe with the override key. If the second lock was mechanical, simply a combination, it would be a good safe. As is the electronics are no good. Get a different safe or save some money and just get a safe that operates with one key since that is all this one does.Customer Review: Cheap, weak defective safe

If you get a good working one then its a nice safe. Took me 3 to get a good one. First one the key stuck, the second one had a broken wire inside so i couldnt change the code. It is a cheap safe. But it is a safe and has room to keep stuff.
