Tools and Hardware Reviews of First Alert PIR720RN Motion Sensing Light SocketCustomer Review: Perfect solution Summary: 5 Stars
I use this in my basement laundry room. The lighting there is one of the pull cords and you have to walk the length of the room to get to the lighting (which doesn't work well at night). This is the perfect solution for me. I don't know how many times I've left that light on thinking I'd go back down and it would be on the a day or two. Love this product. Wished it would work with the CLF's but happy with what I have.
Customer Review: Save $ without Flipping a Switch Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great device as it needs no tools, and it just works. I installed a 100W bulb that stays on for 4 minutes at a time, probably an hour or so each day, instead of a 23 wat bulb that stays on 24/7.
So: 0.1KWh for a 100W bulb vs 0.576 KWh for a Fluorescent (can't use the flourescent in this fixture, it seems). Ideally, using both would save more money. The 1st one died, they replaced it no problem
Customer Review: happy with automatic lighting Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased this product to replace one that had stopped working after several years. Use a long life incandescent bulb with this bulb since it appears to stop working if the bulb blows out. It is great to not have to turn on a light switch in our basement laundry room. If you remain stationary in the room for a while the bulb will turn off and will turn back on when you move-i.e. raise your arm and move it.
Customer Review: Must have for garages! Summary: 5 Stars
First socket that arrived was defective. Amazon promptly sent a replacement, and it is everything I had hoped that it would be. I use it in my garage. It senses when I walk in and drive in, and stays on long enough - four minutes - for me to take care of what I need to do. It sure beats reaching for a light switch each and every time I walk into the garage. Will buy more. Highly recommended !
Customer Review: "Let There Be Light" Summary: 5 Stars
We had one of these in basement laundry room so that The light would not be left on all night and day. Then went to buy one for the attic, where it is hard to see until you are all the way up the stairs. Now light comes on as soon as it senses you are in the area. NO longer sold at Home Depot!! Went online and found them on Amazon.com. Cheaper then in store and sent in two days!!!
