this air conditioner saved our butts when our larger unit broke we put this one in a room that was too large for the unit. it still cooled in a short time span and kept us cool during the last heat spell while our kenmore was on the ropes! I highly recomend this unit for small rooms. its easy to set up, easy to use and has all the features of more expensive models. its a tough little tyke. the only knock is its allitle noisy for the wife but if your a shift worker and used to white noise you will love it. if your on the fence, buy it you will be glad!Customer Review: Redeemair Review

Recently I purchased the Frigidaire Compact Small-Room Air Conditioner and although I have not yet received it I would like to write an overwhelmingly positive review about the third party seller of this product (Redeemair). During the shipping of my product there was some problems with UPS that resulted in me not getting my shipment. I emailed Redeemair and they called me back not two hours later to tell me that everything would be taken care of and that a new unit was on the way. I'll make this a quick review. This little window air conditioner, cools down my very hot bedroom. I live in Palm Springs, California, where it can easily reach 110+ degrees F in the late Spring, Summer, and early Fall. My bedroom has a big 42-inch plasma, that heats up the room, and I also have the sun shine on my room almost all day. This air conditioner was very easy to set up, comes with a remote control, and I'll finally be able to sleep in a nice cool (or cold, if I so choose) bedroom. I give this product an A grade.

Didn't buy it here, but this is a very good window AC. It cooled down our room in about 10 minutes (and the compressor doesn't turn on for three minutes).
As for loudness, it's no louder than another larger AC I had before. So I think it's fine.
I know we're not supposed to talk about prices here but pricing the unit 30% higher than the MSRP plus shipping is rediculous. If you SHOP around (hint hint, add a dot com to the all-caps word there) you can get it for MSRP + free shipping.

I purchased 2 of these for use in small offices. Each one operates quietly, and cools the room very well. I like all the features: temp setting at low, med, high, or auto; clean air setting; sleep; and timer. It's Energy Star rated, and the estimated yearly operating cost according to the EnergyGuide that came w/the unit is $38/year. If anyone finds this info useful, it lists the Energy Efficiency Ratio as 11.0.
Overall I'm quiet satisfied. Free shipping made the price right.
