There are already some VERY great reviews done on this AC, which is one of the reasons I purchased it.
However I would like to add my comment about the noise level - though certainly what may be quiet or loud to others may not be for some.
Personally I found it amazingly quiet. I could barely tell when the compressor kicked on and off - I run the fan the whole time. I would go so far as to say it reminds me of an old Emerson Quiet Cool I used to own.

I really like this unit. Mostly for it's quiet operation, the minimal white noise emitted by the fan is actually quite relaxing (for my taste). Our bedroom is about 12' x 13' and this AC will cool it down in to comfortable 70 degrees at 90 degrees outside temperature in matter of minutes. Sleep feature seems like a great idea to me. This AC unit has been great. I've had luck with 3 frigidaires thus far over the last 5 years ranging from 18,000 to 5200 BTU's. the features are great and the unit runs perfectly. This air conditioner cools my 140 sq. ft. bedroom with no problem. I have to keep an eye on it just to make sure the bedroom isn't freezing. The only downside to this unit is that when you make any adjustment (fan speed, operating mode, temperature) it makes a rather loud beep. This air conditioner is efficient, economical, and unobtrusive. Having the sleep setting is useful, since high fan and low temperature are not needed or desirable in the middle of the night. I have units in three bedrooms, all highly effective. A perfect solution for dealing with warm weather.
