So I haven't had it long, but so far so good. I love it. Although it is really bright, my mother was sitting next to me on the bus trip I used it for and said it kept her away, (bit of an exaggeration from the way she was snoring a few minutes later). It works great with a hardcover book and a thick paperback (the only things I've used it for). The only thing I find annoying is that it needs three AAA batteries because all the packes I found only came with 2, but other than that I loved it :)Customer Review: The only booklight I will use

I have tried other booklights, most of which only illuminate a small portion of the page at a time. Very annoying. The Fulcrum, however, is more of a floodlight, and pretty much lights up the whole book (both pages at the same time). Awesome. It's also lightweight, clips easily to hardback or paperback books, and lasts plenty long for the money. My husband and I have had 3 of these total, over the course of several years. I have bought more book lights than I care to say and almost all of them have ended up in a drawer. This little light is great. It gives a very clean, clear light with no shadows. The goose neck makes it easy to direct and easy to travel with. I have finally found a light that gives the light I need to read and does not disturb my husband. this thing is sweet. it's the most functional and effective little spotlight i've yet encountered. very bright and wide. flexible. can be placed just about anywhere. really nice for digging around in your computer case or when you're trying to plug in your friend's flash drive into the back of your desktop. seems reliable. i hold the base and twirl the light around all the time. just get it. plus it's a good $10 filler for free shipping.
