I have several of these in use for many years. I like this model because I can use a plastic tie to secure the key to the lid. This helps ensure that the key gets put back. My relatives have the master lock type where the lid is hinged to the body, so the key must be removable. There have been many times the kids used the key and did not put it back, making the key safe useless.

I've used these keysafes for years and have just ordered another to give as a gift. Whether you lock yourself out frequently or once every decade or so, you're mighty happy you have one of these. You can install it right beside the door if you wish, because it's a heck of a lot harder to break into it as it is to break into the house, so you don't need to worry about tempting burglars.Customer Review: This has saved my Butt More than once.

I buy these for house warming gifts to friends. (it only takes once to lock your self out to make this worthwile) and leaving a key under the mat or under a rock is the first place a thief is going to look. Put this in plain sight and I doubt if a theif is going to spend an hour or so guessing what your number is. A must IMO for anyone. Buy one for your GF your mom/dad and best friend..Customer Review: Works as advertised

I bought this for my parents. I mounted this on the outside of their house in case the fire department ever needs to access their home due to illness. It is made of heavy metal and is easily mounted to wood or block walls with screws.
This particular product holds 2 keys, making it useful for latchkey children or anyone that may have lost their key.

Easy to install, program and use. Came in handy when locked door blew shut, just entered code and got key. I would recommend using this product rather than make multiple keys for different people. Easier to change code in key safe than door locks. Installed for elderly who use LifeLine emergency services (bettter than "hiding" a key or making copies of keys.)
