Tools and Hardware Reviews of Elgin Travel Alarm ClockCustomer Review: Great Little Alarm Clock Summary: 5 Stars
Nice, uncomplicated, functional travel alarm clock. First of all, the package was EASY to open -- doesn't require a hacksaw and axe, like most packages do these days. Secondly, the instructions were written in CLEAR ENGLISH -- not weird unintelligible international symbols and directions in ten different languages with the English being butchered beyond comprehension. And thirdly, the clock is simple to set up and operate. Very user-friendly. Does what it says it's going to do. Alarm starts off softly then gets more frantic as seconds tick by and you haven't turned it off -- perfect for my waking-up habits. It's the right size -- very compact -- has a nice big display, big snooze button -- all in all, about as perfect as a product can be. My compliments to Elgin.
Customer Review: Timex Digital Travel Alarm Clock with Indiglo night light. Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this clock for myself as a replacement. I gave mine to my niece as a gift with other travel inspired
items, but only after I confirmed that I coud purchase another one on Amazon. I love it. I use it every day
and night both at home and on trips. It is lightweight, accurate and easy to see. And when you wake up in the middle of the night and want to know the time, the INDIGLO feature on the Timex is terrific. No need to turn on a light. The Timex requires one AAA battery. The battery should last a long time and is easily
accessible for replacement. The Timex base folds over the screen and is perfect for travel. I not only would
order the Timex Indiglo Travel Alarm again, I already have.

Customer Review: Perfect for my needs, a bargain Summary: 5 Stars
I don't need a fancy clock radio with displays of what time it is all over the planet or a CD player. I just need the simplest possible alarm clock that works, and which I can take with me anywhere. This alarm clock fits that bill perfectly and is cheap to buy.
Setting the alarm couldn't be easier, although it is hard to make sure you have moved the slider to the correct position because if you have big thumbs like me, your thumbs cover the writing. Setting the time similarly, couldn't be easier. Bouncing around in my backpack hasn't harmed it, the alarm is nice and loud and appropriately annoying, and it even has a snooze.
Damn near a perfect product because it does what you want for a low price.
Customer Review: Great little alarm Summary: 5 Stars
I'm with the airlines, so I have been thru a number of these. The best feature of this clock/alarm is that it has a cover that covers the buttons when it is in your suitcase. Sounds like a little thing, but if you don't have a cover, the time is always changing inside of your suitcase. Not only does that wear out your batteries, but it also makes the buttons hard to push. Plus you have to reset the time every time you plan on useing it! Those of us in the business always bring our own alarm as well as call for a wake up call. Too many times the computer that sets the wake up calls in the hotels, is not dependable.
Customer Review: Elgin travel alarm Summary: 5 Stars
I had an Elgin that I bought at a military exchange in Germany back in '05. I really loved that alarm, but misplaced it sometime between then and now. I bought this, hoping that it would be comparable. It's larger than the old one but works just as well. I initially gave this a poor review because the light wouldn't work. When I changed out the included batteries for a fresh set, it worked. It went all over Iraq with me and functioned perfectly. I highly recommend this alarm, just be aware that you should probably replace the batteries immediately.
