Customer Review: Be prepared to tune!
Summary: 4 Stars
This has the finish you would expect of a plane with a price in the single digits. I spent an hour or two flattening the sole and blade on progressive grades of sandpaper (on plate glass - "Scary Sharp" paraphernalia) and I find that the little plane occasionally comes in handy where nothing bigger will fit or where other surfaces must be avoided. It isn't a rock solid, brass-bodied, cryogenic-ironed beauty, but it'll do its job. Incidentally, I'm not sure how long the blade will hold an edge - it really hasn't been an issue in the light duty I expect of it.
In short, it's not a bad little plane for the price.
