I purchased 12 of the dimmable R30 CFL bulbs for a 12 light grid layout in our kitchen. The lights fired right up, but the high wattage dimmer on the circuit only dimmed the lights a small amount. I changed the dimmer to a low wattage unit since all 12 lights together now only pull 180 watts (instead of the previous 800 watts) and the system works fantastically! Needless to say I am extremely please. The light is now brighter than before on much less power and can even go dimmer than the incandescent bulbs did on the high wattage dimmer. I even like the effect of the slow smooth startup. I have now bought a total of 20 CFL bulbs and have not had a problem with a single one. 5 Stars and two thumbs up from me!
