Customer Review: Gladiator's poorest product

I can't imaging doing what a previous reviewer suggested - drilling pilot holes and hand-screwing these screws. Maybe it's OK if you're doing a few pieces of GearTrack, but my installation was over 40 GearWall panels (over 1000 screws), and I would have gone insane had I used these. Not to mention the prohibitive cost (especially for a poorly made screw).
For anyone doing a large installation, do yourself a favor and buy some Headcote square-drive screws. The downside is that they don't have a matching head color (I used the standard gray head), but they go in like butter, and you never have to worry about pre-drilling or stripping. Because they are square-head, very little pressure is required to drive these screws - you can drive hundreds without getting tired (assuming you're using a cordless driver). Once you go square-head, you'll never buy a Phillips again.
Gladiator would be doing their customers a HUGE service by contracting with the Headcote manufacturer to make their #8 x 2" square-head screws in the GearWall color, so that we could buy a quality screw either from Gladiator or from 3rd party distributors.
These aren't the exact ones to use, but you can see the quality from the picture:

Bottom line - I'll live with the gray heads... after all, most of them are covered with gear!
