Great space saver. The smaller ottoman fits perfectly into the larger one. I bought two sets, and use the large ones as end tables and extra seating. The small ottoman is a nice height for a low sofa or futon. There was a strong smell initially, but has faded since. The top of the large ottoman functions as a tray when flipped over, as in the photo. When place as a lid, the top is smooth, with no stitching. Also, although these are indeed brown, they are very, very dark.Customer Review: Great Looking and Great Deal

I got this ottoman for seating around the house when guests come. It turns out I use it even when guests aren't there. It's great. I love the little ottoman, it looks beautiful and is comfy to sit on. The larger item though is really what makes this a great deal. It is comfy and beautiful. The tray top table is great for snacks or eating in front of the TV. And on top of all this it has storage so I can throw my DVD's and CD's and a blanket in there. Ottomans can be so expensive - I'd bought my husband a wicker one a number of years ago, because that is all that I could find at the time under $100.00 locally.
These are VERY nice. The set just arrived, the smell isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I wouldn't have even thought about it if I'd not read the reviews. They are sturdy, and $40 with shipping is a bargain for the quality. What a great Christmas gift to replace the current one!

I was very happy with this purchase, as it added a modern touch to my brand new loft.
The material is durable and does not have the petroleum smell that some described in their reviews. The tray is of great quality as well and the smaller ottoman is even more comfortable to sit on than the large one, due to its thickly cushioned top.
For $40 it is a steal! I have seen this at other retailers at the mall for about $80!

This was the best price I could find anywhere for a storage ottoman..plus the top that becomes a tray is great. The second ottoman is a great bonus. Most other storage ottomans are the same or close to same price and don't include either of these added "bonuses". No chemical smell with ours. It is in my college daughter's (rather small) bedroom apartment and works great as a multifunctional piece. Looks more expensive than it is.
