Ok... so they take a fraction of a second to kick on when you hit the switch, and OH NO you can't use them on a dimmer. But unlike most CFL's I've seen and/or used, they don't have that annoying blue hue to them! They're brighter, use less energy, and best of all, give nearly the same color light as an incandescent!
Buy these bulbs, save some money on your power bill, brighten up your home, and reduce your carbon output!!! Whatever you believe regarding global warming, save some money on your power bills and go to sleep happy! :)

Fabulous. These bulbs will outlast regular incadescent bulbs 10 fold. They save money and they are COOL to use, no heat. They are quiet, no buzzing, not even with your ear to the bulb. They are bright, and cost less than 1/4 to illuminate as regular bulbs. Use them in those hard to reach locations like the garage ceiling. You will not need to get out that ladder to change them for likely 15 years. The savings, the convenience, the advantages make this deal stellar. These bulbs basically work as expected. The light is pretty warm and near indistinguishable from that of an incandescent bulb. Like all compact fluorescents, these take a few seconds to "warm up" to maximum brightness, but they turn on instantly. Besides the substantial energy savings and longer lifespan, these bulbs produce much less ambient heat than incandescents, meaning they aren't fighting my air conditioner if I'm trying to cool my apartment, and the metal shade of my bedside lamp stays cool to the touch.Customer Review: Still going strong....

I bought this particular pack of 4 lightbulbs on Jan.30th of 2008 for use in our kitchen (a room where the lights are turned off and on frequently and sometimes left on for extended periods of time.) Here it is almost a year later (Jan.18 2009) and they are still just as bright as the day I put them in. Haven't seen much difference as far as the electric bill goes...but I have definitely saved a few bucks not having to buy lightbulbs every few months!Customer Review: Shipping is a problem

Great product, but shipping is a problem. First set of 4 arrived with one bad bulb. Replacement set arrived with another bad one (so Amazon got 2 bad ones and 2 good ones back - assuming the 2 good ones actually made it back in one piece). I am not so sure that ordering light bulbs to be shipped by UPS or USPS is a workable idea - they really throw this stuff around...
