I had always thought CFL (Compact Flourescent Lighbulbs) were inferior. I knew they saved money, but didn't want the ghastly light, the flickering and the long delay to turn on...what a surprise when these were non existant! The colors are warm and bright--amazingly bright, I'm looking for some lower wattage now, and there is no perceptible flickering. While they do take a second to illuminate, I'm already used to this delay--its very short. I do notice they take about 30 seconds to reach max brilliance, but theres still plenty of light when they come on. I'm getting more bulbs and different types (they come in chandalier size too!)because I love these that much! At a fraction of the wattage, reduced heat output...you can't go wrong!Customer Review: Great small fluorescent bulb

This fluorescent bulb comes in a small form factor (this is ultra-mini). Definitely smaller than a normal light bulb, and purportedly will save you $34/bulb over the life of the bulb.
After reading some of the reviews here, I tried out all the bulbs when they arrived, just to make sure that they didnt break on the ship over. All the bulbs worked (despite the skimpy padding in the box), so no complaints here!

I got these to go in the vanity lights over our mirror in the master bath, hoping they would be cooler on hot summer mornings than the regular bulbs, and they're great! Their light is more neutral, which helps in make-up choices, and they don't radiate heat like having six 60-watt bulbs do, so I can blow dry without the room getting too warm. Bulbs work very good in standard light fixtures. Comes on instantly though it takes a few seconds to come to full brightness. A little brighter than other CFLs that claim their the same as a 60W incandescent. Shipment of 12 each came very well packed. I used some of the bulbs in my ceiling fan lights (ones with no remote control, need dimmable bulbs for those).Customer Review: Real good bulbs

The light is almost the same of incandescent bulbs, but with even distribution over the lighting area. I just replace 8 of them at home and the energy savings were about 20% less in the electricity invoice. I will replace all bulbs of my house with them. The size is perfect and they fit everywhere.
