I bought it for keeping my electronic stuff in my small room tidy. On carpet floor, this shelf's floor contact is very small (at the bottom you got 4 small round toes to support the entire thing). So its pretty easy to tip over. So how i use is invert every shelf plate so that the bottom one touches the ground with all its surface.

Suits my use almost enough.
