I was given one as a gift 5 years ago. Its been in my garage ever since, and has always worked like a champ. Can't imagine pulling out an extension cord and having to roll it back up when working in the garage. Purchased additional ones for other areas (like the basement, etc.), as I don't like taking it down (ended up putting a screw through the bracket so it is permanently mounted). Just love it. I have NOT tried to use this for outdoor cords, or in cases requiring taking the extension cord down from its mount. Haven't found anything better either, so might end up trying to do so for outdoor purposes (even tried the reel type for outdoor extension cords, like those for a water hose, but those are cumbersome as well). The Wonder Winder Hand Crank Extension Cord Reel is great. It was easy to set up in my garage and best of all it works! No more winding around my arm and no tangled or twisted cord. It does what it's supposed to do. I am satisfied. ~ The Boss

I would not recommend this product as it doesn't work very well. I actually ruined a 100' cord as the winder made small slices into the casing of the cord. Many times the cord would not rewind into the unit. Save your money and look at other alternatives. A very disappointing product!Customer Review: Poor product design and function
