I bought it for my fish tank to check on the smaller critters that show up. It's well made and does the job. Price seems reasonable for how it's made. I would have liked a cloth pouch instead of a plastic sleeve. Eventually the sleeve will tear.Customer Review: Not the magnification claimed

The manufacturer claims 5x magnification, but as others have pointed out this is clearly not the case. The real magnification is somewhere closer to the 1.5x to 2x range.
Aside from the misleading magnification claim, the magnifying glass is of decent quality and worth the price.
