Tools and Hardware Reviews of Halo 3290 UV-ST Ultraviolet VacuumCustomer Review: Best for allergies Summary: 5 Stars
I have a severe allergy to dust mites and have tried everything, including the purchase of hard wood floors, uv lights for my heating ducts, etc.
This BY FAR worked the best! I can't believe that it actually worked (my friend was joking that I was gullible and would sell me a vacuum with a flashlight attached too). Here is how I know that it worked:
1. I would break out in red rashes all across my body when there is high dust mite exposure, (typically during fall and winter). Most of the spots have completely disappeared.
2. I can tell when I get lazy and don't vacuum. I get irritations and need to vacuum again. Also, when I stay at a friends house, the irritations come back.
I would recommend vacuuming at least once a week and after 2 or 3 weeks you should see a difference (if you suffer from dust mite allergies). You probably won't notice anything else other than dust mite.
The only bad thing is that the vacuum itself is not that great. I bought this when it came out initially and had to send it in twice due to a manufacturing defect. I don't care about the vacuum itself though, its the uv light that has worked the best.
What a great invention...Thank you Halo!!!
