Tools and Hardware Reviews of Hampton Direct Twin Draft Guard Window/Door Insulating Device with Over-the-Door Hook, Brown, 2-PackCustomer Review: Cheap yey effective Summary: 3 Stars
Two pieces of round foam in sewn fabric
If I could sew I would have done it myself.
The fabric will break down from wear from opening and closing the door.
Does it do the job? Yes. Could it have been made better? Yes
The fabric is not durable. It will probably break down before it gets warmer.
And yes I'll probably replace it with another. Why? Because it's cheap :)
Pros: Cheap and easy to replace.
Cons: Cheap and will need to be replaced.
Customer Review: not what I was hoping for Summary: 3 Stars
I thought it would work better and help with noise issues, but it doesn't. there is too much fabric and not enough foam insulation.
Customer Review: Doesn't stay in place Summary: 2 Stars
The foam gets stuck under the door when you open and close. Best thing is to sew it so you can get a snug fit...but it's a bit of a hassle. I haven't had time to do so because I was hoping to just open it and use it problem free, so mine gets caught every time....really annoying. I'm sure I'll get around to it sometime. However...it does cover the draft.
Customer Review: A PAIN Summary: 2 Stars
This would work if I had bare floors, but it does not work with carpeted floors...the foam assemby keeps rolling under the door when I close it...not worth the money, and is more work closing the door than just laying a towel or something similar after the door is already closed!!
Customer Review: probably not worth it Summary: 2 Stars
The product didn't work with my front door, but I decided to keep it and put it on other interior doors to keep AC\Heat from going into rooms I wasn't using during the day.
