we had a bad smell coming from the new sink/garbage disposal that had been installed a year earlier. i dumped bleach down the drain with hot water, left overnight, didn't work. the plumber came and took the sink apart, looking for the offending material but found nothing. i used disposer care (another product) after that, which made a marginal improvement. then i found these little guys and they work great. it is not just a cosmetic cover-up -- they have something in there that helps eliminate whatever is so stinky (think it is happening in our sink because we have an oversized disposal). the label says it contains "bitrex" -- whatever that means, it works. at $4.00 for 10, kind of expensive if you use a few times a week...but better than spending a zillion dollars on a remodel, as we did, and having the beautiful kitchen smell like sludge! great product.Customer Review: Lemony Fresh

Over the years, I've tried a lot of things to get the stink out of my garbage disposal. Some of them even work (baking soda, for example), but not one has come close to Plink. These little squishy balls release a powerful lemon smell when first used. The first time I tried one, I was afraid it had just masked the stink, but when the lemon smell dissipated, the bad smell did not return. The cleaner smells fantastic (orange ones are great too), and it's actually cleared a clog. Over Thanksgiving my relatives put a ton of celery & then the turkey grease down the disposal. It of course clogged. I cleaned out the P-trap and snaked the line, but it was still clogged. I snaked from outside through the clean-out, and it was still clogged. As a last resort, I ran a pink through the disposal, and the clog cleared.Customer Review: Easy to use, Smells FRESH

I was skeptical about these when I saw them in a local store but I gave them a try and I'm so glad I did! They work great! They smell great! They are easy to use and the freshness lasts a long time. Tried one out in my disposal.
They smell great, and I'll do anything to keep from replacing another garbage grinder!
Easy to use, adds a nice citrus scent, and makes a notoriously dirty and noisy appliance disappear.
