Want a wireless doorbell but long for the rich sound of a traditional mechanical chime? Heath Zenith's SL-6505 gives you just that-the chime unit for this wireless system includes two tone bars for the classic "ding-dong" sound.To install, all you need to do is mount the doorbell and chime-no electrical installation is needed. You can select from up to 128 code settings (which allow the doorbell to communicate with the chime) to make sure your neighbor's wireless systems won't set of your chime. If you wish, you can also change to a single-note chime.
Note that, although the battery for the doorbell is included, you will need to supply four C batteries for the chime. Mounting hardware is included.--Josh Dettweiler

Customer Review: not what I espected

Just bought it of H*** D**** and just to make it short... it is advertise as to reach up to 150 ft... lets try 50 and I'm being generous, I live in a 3 floor building on the 3rd floor. First it sounded in the apartment fine, but when I decided to go downstairs and try where it was suppose to sit, it didn't rang. The I thought well maybe it doesn't penetrates to good so I decided to bring it to the window so it will have nothing in between. (window faces towards the front where the button is to sit).So the distance is no more than 50 ft. 3 floor up and that's it, no turns no walls just the window in between them. And guess what.... Yeap... It didn't work... New Batteries and Nothing.... Hopefully this will save somebody from waisting some good American dollars on this thing...
